Childhood and youth
The future theater actress Svetlana Galkina was born in Novosibirsk 48 years ago. She started playing at school - she went to the acting club. After leaving school, I wondered where to go for a long time, it was difficult to choose between a traditional profession and one that I would like. After receiving a certificate of secondary education, I decided to apply for a company with a friend at the Novosibirsk Theater School. I didn’t even hope that it would pass. However, luck smiled at her.
After graduating from college, she began working at the local Globus Theater. Just at that moment, the main cast went on a tour of America. All work was piled on brand new. However, she coped with the activities entrusted to her with a bang.
First roles
At first, it was necessary to replace some of the missing artists, so Svetlana tried not to give serious roles. But the entire children's repertoire was hers. I went to pioneer camps, kindergartens, participated in various events. The debut role is the Bunny-Znayka from the fairy tale of the same name. With great pleasure, Svetlana played this role, especially the enthusiasm manifested itself when a small audience enthusiastically greeted the artist.
Three years later, depressive states began to appear - the actress was not confident in her own abilities and talent. In addition, I wanted to play more serious roles. I understood that for a long time this could not continue. Just in this difficult period, Svetlana received a good offer from the director of the Novosibirsk Drama Theater.
Work on three fronts
The Novosibirsk Drama Theater was directed by Sergey Afanasyev. He invited the actress to play not some passing role, but Ophelia herself from Hamlet. Fortunately there was no limit - after all, almost all aspiring actresses dream of such roles. So began the career of Svetlana in the new theater, in which she stayed for as long as 20 years. At the same time she studied at GITIS, defended her diploma. And after that there was self-confidence and the realization that it was possible to combine work not in one theater, but in three at once.
She continued to work at Globus, and also became an actress of the world-famous Novosibirsk Red Torch. It was in the latter that awareness and recognition came. A photo of Svetlana Galkina was hanged in the lobby, now the viewer had an idea of the actors' activities, singled out the best for themselves. They began to recognize Svetlana, approached on the streets, asked for autographs.
Teaching activities
Recently, the actress is also a teacher. She teaches acting at a theater university. He admits that he adheres to the principle in his work: it is imperative to build his own concept of the vision of characters. She herself never spies how eminent actors do this or that hero, and she teaches students the same thing: to look for their path, to rely on their own opinion.
About the modern generation, a woman speaks with special reverence. Students who come to her study, read a lot, lead an active lifestyle. They are sometimes even much more interested in their own success than students of past generations. Today's youth knows much more about life and wants to take from it, if not everything, then a lot. Maximalism is on top. And this has its own charm.
Today, Svetlana Galkina no longer speaks to children and schoolchildren, especially she does not want to play animals. She believes that she played enough at a young age. Now I want to get experience in more serious productions.
