Once, along with Indian ones, they were incredibly popular in the USSR: many are familiar with a name like “Slave Izaura” - this is a tragic story about a girl named Izaura, who was born a slave to a cruel plantation owner.
Currently, Brazilian series do not have such success in Russia and the CIS countries as before. However, Brazil’s cinema is still the most promising among other Latin American countries.

Odilon Wagner was born on October 24, 1954 in the city of Curitiba, which is located in the state of Parana in southern Brazil. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Ponta Grossa, where the future actor lived until he was eleven.
At the age of about 20, Wagner took part in the filming of his first series called Super Manuela (1974). A year after this, the actor married the girl Valeria, with whom he is still married. The couple has a son Rodrigo.
