The appearance of moles and the prevention of their degeneration

Traditionally, people call moles any colored spots with a clear contour that appear on the skin. And if the look concerns a tuberous formation on the arm, then it is intuitively categorically categorized as warts. Dermatologists, on the other hand, have to divide all such skin changes by more than 300 species. In medicine, moles are called nevus. Patients often turn to beauty parlors with a request to rid them of skin pathology.

The appearance of moles is associated with the hypothesis of heredity, hormonal imbalance, and the negative influence of sunlight. In the practice of doctors, there have been cases when such a complication ended in a person's attempt to squeeze a pimple at home.

Nevi can be congenital or acquired throughout life. As a result of a viral effect on the skin, the cells are intensively filled with pigment, become melanocytes, forming a mole.

Statistics say that pigmentation is common to all people whose age exceeds ten years. More often, safe nevi are localized on the face. In infants, the appearance of moles is observed from the first years of life, only in newborns, spot pigments are not visible, since they are too small.

When a boy or girl lives puberty, their hormonal background is subject to sharp fluctuations. One of the side effects of growing up is the massive emergence of new moles. In part, previously undetected nevi begin to increase in size. Many bright spots change their pigment to a darker, brighter shade. There are black versions of completely safe formations. The color of the nevus depends on the melanotropic hormone of the pituitary gland.

Pregnancy, against the background of a decrease in the level of some hormones and an increase in the level of others, can provoke the appearance of moles on the body. Old nevi change their color, grow. The skin can undergo pigment changes in any area, even in the area of the mucous membranes of the eyelid, mouth, and vagina. The mucous membrane of the female body is more prone to the appearance of nevi compared to men.

The degeneration of the mole into malignant melanoma is preceded by the negative influence of external factors. The action of ultraviolet rays, mechanical trauma, banal systematic rubbing is a risk factor in the area of moles. Therefore, doctors, having discovered the appearance of moles in a place that is functionally susceptible to a high probability of injury, strongly recommend removing them. The soles of the legs, palms, the neck of the gateway, and the waist, if there is a nevus, instill anxiety.

A careful count ensures the presence of about two dozen moles on each human body. Billions of people live without worrying about this. Simple measures for the prevention of melanoma allow you to calmly relate to the natural manifestations of pigmentation on your own skin.

  • The appearance of moles in adulthood is perceived calmly, as a result of natural changes. It is recommended to regularly inspect old age spots, pay attention to a sharp change in their appearance.
  • The regime of sunbathing for the purpose of tanning must be strictly observed. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you cannot substitute moles under the direct rays of the summer sun.
  • It is not recommended to pull the nevi, touch them unnecessarily, independently try to withdraw or treat. On the contrary, a speck should be protected from the slightest mechanical impact. For hygiene purposes, it is better to use a soft, safe washcloth.
  • The condition of moles is negatively affected by the habit of wearing too tight or tight clothes, especially if places with nevuses located on them are crushed.
