In Russia, in the Gaynsky district, Adovo Lake (Perm Territory) is located. It is located in the floodplain of the river Porysh. This reservoir, first of all, surprises with its name, it becomes interesting how it appeared. Everything else, indeed, goes a lot of legends about him. About Hell Lake (Perm Territory), about fishing in these places and interesting facts will be discussed in the article.
Description
Adovo Lake (Perm Territory) has an area of ββ3.68 km 2 , a width of about 2 km and a length of almost 3 km. The depth of the reservoir ranges from 5 to 6 meters. Next to it is the bog of the same name and many peat bogs. Scientists suggest that the reservoir could have arisen due to the processes of suffusion. This is the ejection of rock particles mechanically by groundwater. After that, the discarded rock sags in some places, while forming funnels of various sizes.
About half a kilometer from the main body of water is Small Adovo Lake (Perm Territory). There are quite a lot of fish in these places, which attracts a large number of fishing enthusiasts all year round. There are pike, ruff, perch, roach, bream and other species in the lake. This body of water has clear and clean water, which allows the fish to breed well.
Title and Legends
Initially, the lake was called Vadty, which in the Komi-Permyak dialect means "forest lake" and "marshy shores." The Russian name of the reservoir was formed due to the legend of a beautiful mermaid named Pike. According to the legend, she dragged young and beautiful fishermen to the bottom, according to another version - straight to hell. After some time, the Komi-Permian name of Vadta was transformed into a short one - βhellβ.
Several legends are associated with the Hell Lake in the Gaynsky District. So, for example, in the Komi-Permian epos there is a hero Pera, who won a duel with the mythical villain Vakuley, and then threw him into the lake. After this, Vakul cannot leave the lake, which is why he is trying to take revenge on all those who appear near him.
Another legend says that once a god flew over the lake with a bag of various evil spirits, which he gathered around the world. However, the devils tore the bag and fell right into the pond. Since then, they have been its masters and have brutally avenged all people.
One of the legends tells of a gang of robbers robbing merchants in these places. They piled their prey in barrels and hid it in the Lake of Hell (Perm Territory). One day they decided to share the booty, but quarreled and killed each other.
It is also rumored that in our time, airplanes dumped radioactive waste into the lake. An interesting fact is that with the onset of spring, water begins to bubble and boil. Scientists suggest that this is due to various tectonic and geological natural processes.
Fishing in the Komi-Permyatsky okrug
Despite the fact that the lake is fraught with many dangers, for example, a strange funnel forms in the center of it, many fishing enthusiasts come here. Experienced anglers try not to swim to the center of the reservoir. A funnel, appearing from time to time, draws to the bottom.
Moscow scientists tried to investigate this phenomenon, however, having nearly died several times while studying this phenomenon, they decided to stop scientific work. But nevertheless, several experiments were carried out, which showed that Adovo Lake communicates with other bodies of water through underground rivers.
Fishermen prefer to fish along the shore in boats, not swimming far. The catch, provided calm water, is most often quite rich. Here you can catch bream, pike, ruff and perch, other fish species are also found, but rarely.
When fishing, various types of lures are used, for example, earthworm, maggot, corn, green peas, bread crumb mixed with chicken eggs, and many others. Fish in these places is omnivorous and pecks very well. Fishing in the Komi-Permyatsky okrug in almost all places has a good catch. However, there are lakes where the nibble is simply amazing and in a couple of hours you can get up to 20 kg of fish.

This unusual pond is located about 500 km from Perm. You need to go by car or city bus along the highway to the small village of Gayny. Having passed it, you must follow the direction to the north, through the logging village of Seiva. It is important to consider that the road is gradually getting worse and worse. An old narrow-gauge road has been laid from this village. You can only drive further on with a specially equipped car with a winch and other devices.
The landscape is partly post-apocalyptic: traces of forest fires, destroyed bridges and buildings, as well as cut rails (the result of the activities of "hunters" for scrap metal). So there is a difficult trip ahead. It is best to get to the Hell Lake in the wintertime by snowmobile. It is much safer and faster.
This place is shrouded in a lot of legends and mysteries. And yet it attracts fishing enthusiasts here. Some, having been here, return again and again, while someone, being at this lake, disappears without a trace, which gives rise to new legends and myths.
