Stepan Korshunov was born on May 22, 1978 in Moscow in a famous family.
Grandfather - Victor Korshunov, People's Artist of the USSR, was the director of the State Academic Maly Theater until 2009.
Grandmother - Ekaterina Elanskaya, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, actress and director, founder and director of the "Sphere" theater.
Dad is a famous director and actor, people's artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Korshunov. Currently - artistic director of the theater "Sphere".
Mom - theater artist Olga Korshunova.

During his studies, he shot the short film “Pasta” (2005) as a director, and in his script he shot the short film “Silencio” (2006). He also acted as the operator of the short film "Chip" (2007) in collaboration with the director N. Nikonenko.
