It has the ability to store information about various reactions of our body and events that happen to us for a long time. This information is subsequently used by a person in daily activities.

Personally, I have it excellent, and I can recall some events from early childhood. But often you hear from other people that they have a bad memory. The reasons, I tell you, can be various. In particular, a person who understands what memory is should not make such negative statements.

When you claim that you have a bad memory, this statement is taken by this body for truth and is recorded in the subconscious. It turns out a vicious circle: you say that memory is bad, and this is remembered by you with subsequent use in everyday life.

For starters, I would advise people with similar negative beliefs to change their words and try to praise their memory. However, let's look at some other common causes of poor memory.

  • This may be a banal lack of proper interest in the subject or event. If you are interested in something, it makes certain impressions, then it will be remembered without much difficulty. Just believe that your memory has great potential and try to approach the memorable subject with interest. You should tune in to changing your attitude. No need to think, โ€œHow?โ€, Just do it.
  • Inattention, lack of concentration skills, inability to manage your attention. You canโ€™t run in all directions at once? If you need to remember something, you should learn to concentrate on one subject. Today there is an overabundance of all kinds of information. Many people are constantly in a hurry, living as if on a machine, trying to do several things at once. At the same time, they eat and watch TV, talk on the phone, and think in general it is not clear what. That is, your memory is not bad, but you should change your attitude towards it.
  • Lack of ability to remember and remember the necessary information. Knowing what memory is, you understand that its properties are one thing, and the acquired skills, the ability to remember, depends directly on your approach. Special techniques have been developed for memory training. They improve the ability to remember the right information.
  • Maybe you just do not have enough vitamins or you are eating incorrectly, and the brain needs high-quality nutrients for normal functioning.
  • Lack of oxygen, smoking, abuse of alcoholic beverages also negatively affect mental processes.
  • Apathy, depression, feeling unwell. Here, comments are unnecessary, because the poor state of the body clearly does not contribute to good memory.

Now you more or less understand why there may be a bad memory. The reasons discussed in this article are not the only ones. But they are the most common, therefore, are given as the main ones. At least now, knowing these causes and influencing them, you can change the effect, that is, improve the quality of your memorization.
