The fantasy genre is very popular among viewers and readers. But how many truly vivid and interesting works? If you think about it, then, perhaps, not so much. The legendary saga “The Lord of the Rings” focuses more on an adult readership, but what remains for young fans of the fantasy genre? We recommend a good and very beautiful story from a close friend of J. R. R. Tolkien - Clive S. Lewis, entitled "The Chronicles of Narnia." The fairy kingdom and its inhabitants, children, led by Peter Pevensi, and, of course, magic - all this will absorb the reader with his head and force him to return to his beloved heroes again and again.
Clive S. Lewis Books
An Irish and British writer (pictured above), a theologian and scholar, was born in 1898 in Belfast. He is known for a series of books about the fictional country of Narnia and the unusual adventures of the children in it. A total of 7 works have been released. The first book was published in 1950. In a magical land, animals talk and heroes of ancient legends and fairy tales live, but the main theme is as old as the world - the struggle between good and evil. The writer included subtle allusions to the ideas of Christianity in a way accessible to young readers, in addition to this, he added characters from Greek and Roman mythology, traditional Irish tales.
Peter Pevensi
His character is one of the main in a series of books in the fantasy genre. His personality appears in four of the seven stories told by the author, the first two as a child, and in the final he is already a grown man. This is the oldest son of the Pevensi family. If you adhere to the literary description given by the author of the books, then he has light brown hair, piercing blue eyes, an article and high growth. He has two sisters and a brother, being the eldest, willy-nilly, he feels responsible for them. Peter Pevensi has an impulsive and partly nervous character, but he is very kind and caring, especially in relation to baby Lucy. The fabulous people of Narnia appropriated him the epithet "magnificent". The last name of Pevensi designates the location of the castle of the Middle Ages in the southeast of England.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

According to the Earth's calendar, Peter was born in 1927 and during the Second World War, along with the rest of the children, Pevensi was evacuated from London to a suburban old house, where the professor then lived. It was at this time that the events of the first book of the series unfold. At the moment when he, together with his brother and sisters, gets through a wardrobe to a fairyland, he is 13 years old. The mysterious and mysterious Narnia is covered with snow, eternal winter reigns in it, because power is seized by the evil White Witch. As the eldest in the family, Peter Pevensi (photo above) initially makes the decision not to participate in the fight against her, but at this time the younger brother escapes - Edmund, who succumbed to the queen's charms. With the help of Leo Aslan and the magic gifts of the Father of Christmas, they save Narnia and become, as the legend says, their kings and queens. Four of them rule the fabulous country for 15 years, by this time Peter is 28 years old. One day they again find a secret door to the closet and return to England. Only in the real world only a few hours have passed, and they are children again.
Prince Caspian
The events of the book unfold almost a year after the previous ones, but for Narnia a thousand years passed by that time. The children of the Pevensi family have already become accustomed to the thought that they left the magical land forever and lead the life of ordinary London schoolchildren. The exiled Prince Caspian, with the help of Queen Susan's magic horn (the eldest of the sisters), calls for their help in order to save Narnia again, this time Peter Pevensi will have to fight King Miraz to save the magic people.
In the remaining books of the series, the matured character is secondary and does not take an active part, but is only mentioned in some episodes.
The most famous film adaptation of the first book was released in 2005, filming took place in New Zealand and the Czech Republic. The film is almost completely consistent with the text and has only minor differences. Readers are probably curious to know who plays Peter Pevensi.
William Peter Moseley
English actor originally from Gloucestershire. The role of Peter was the first in his film career. He passed the casting in 2003, and filming began a year later and continued until 2010. In the first two parts of the trilogy, he plays the main role, and in the third only an episodic one. Interestingly, Peter Pevensi was 13 years old according to the book at the beginning of the events, while William turned 17, and on the screen he still looks older. In 2012, the actor starred in the television series Perception, followed by the Royal Family project and the film Veil (2015).
At the end of the film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”, Peter Pevensi, who had already matured, appeared. The actor who performed this role is Noah Huntley (pictured above). He knows the viewer from the films “Snow White and the Hunter”, “Dracula”, “Through the Horizon”.
