Edward Bridge "Ted" Danson III is an American actor and producer who is best known for starring as the bartender and pub owner Sam Malone in the comedy series Fun Company. Over the course of eleven seasons, he was nominated nine times for an Emmy Award as a leading actor, of which he was twice a winner, in 1990 and 1993. For this work, he also received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a comedy television series. In 1999, became the owner of a star on the "Walk of Fame" in Hollywood.
Early life
Actor Ted Danson was born December 29, 1947 in the city of San Diego, on the Pacific coast of California, in the family of Jessica McMaster and Edward Bridge Danson II. His father was a famous anthropologist and archaeologist, professor and director of the museum. Ted has English, Scottish, and even slightly German roots. Their marriage subsequently ended in his sensational romance with African-American actress Whoopi Goldberg in 1993.
