The Ministry of Education decided to introduce another innovation for students. Now each student must make their own portfolio. For schoolchildren and their parents, this innovation caused misunderstanding. We will tell you about how to draw up a portfolio (and what data needs to be entered into it).
Some schools decided to ease the task for their students by ordering ready-made books. The student only needs to fill in the blank columns and paste the photos. However, teachers recommend that parents and their children make a portfolio on their own, as this will help develop the creative abilities of the child. Before filling out a portfolio, familiarize yourself with its approximate content.
Title page
On the very first sheet must be present a photograph of the child. Next, you must specify the surname, name and patronymic of the student. Information on the date of birth and place of study will not be superfluous. The title page can be beautifully decorated or printed ready-made template. However, the first option is preferable (according to psychologists). Pay attention to vivid illustrations if you are designing a portfolio for the first class. It will be interesting for kids to draw a school or their favorite cartoon characters with their mom.
Section "My World"
In the first block, you can give free rein to imagination and indicate all the information about the child that you consider important. Some guys tell the story of the origin of their name, others share dreams and fantasies.
Be sure to include several pages on the family in this section. You can depict a real family tree or simply list close relatives, supplementing these data with a brief biography. In any case, how to draw up a portfolio is up to you to decide.
A child may try to write his first autobiography. Let it not be dry phrases, but vivid feelings about past events. Leaflets with data about yourself can also be beautifully painted or decorated with photographs.
Section "School"
This block may include the following information:
- Names of teachers with brief characteristics of each.
- Schedule of lessons.
- List of items with a description.
- Information about their own achievements with documentary evidence (letters and diplomas for participating in olympiads or competitions).
- Report card with grades.
- Examinations and essays that the student is proud of.
- Social activities (photographs from various concerts, exhibitions, matinees in which the child took part).
- School activities (hiking, sightseeing, field trips, watching a movie or a play). Here you can put photos and add text with your own impressions.
You can also add those sections that you consider necessary. It would be nice to put in the portfolio drawings of the child or other manifestations of creativity. Also, some parents indicate the data of psychological tests conducted at school, and the conclusions of psychologists (to analyze the behavior of their offspring).
How to draw up a portfolio?
You can purchase a finished book or make your own layout. In the first case, the seller must be sought through the school administration or on the Internet. There are a lot of similar offers.
If you decide to make a portfolio yourself, then you also have two options. In the first case, you can print ready-made pages with pictures. You only need a color printer.
We recommend creative people to make out a portfolio with their own hands from beginning to end. All illustrations and graphs can be done independently. You will need pieces of paper, files and a folder with a folder. Also stock up with pencils, paints and markers. In addition, bright stickers and sparkles can be used. In individual files, put test papers, essays, essays and drawings by the student. Each leaflet can be decorated in its own style. Text is written by hand or typed on a computer.
