He was born in a family of poor peasants on January 6, 1938 in Milan. Before Adriano was born, parents with his older brothers and sisters (of whom there were four) left Apulia in order to earn a living.
However, it was not possible to get a lot of money, so the children had to help their parents. Adriano Celentano, whose biography is very eventful, was also forced to drop out of school at the age of 12. Then he went to work in a watch shop as an apprentice. This lesson not only helped the family financially, but also completely occupied the teenager. In those years, he was sure that he would connect his future life with the repair of watches.
However, around the same time, rock and roll began to flourish around the world. Celentano was always interested in music, and this genre simply conquered him.
From the age of 16 he began to compose songs. Together with his group Rock Boys, he participated in various music competitions, in which they almost always took first place.
Adriano Celentano, whose biography and fate turned in such an unexpected way, has now devoted almost all his free time to music. So, constantly speaking at various concerts, he attracted the attention of employees of one record company. In 1958, Celentano entered into his first contract. Then his first album came out.
