Retirement

Despite the fact that there has been debate in the government over the possible increase in the retirement age for years, the numbers remain unchanged. Men retire at an old age of 60, and women five years earlier.

However, a person can take a well-deserved rest much earlier - it all depends on how many years of work experience he has and in what conditions he has worked most of his life.

If a man works for 10 years or more in a hot shop, at work with harmful conditions or underground - he has the right to retire at the age of fifty. A woman who has worked in similar conditions for more than 7.5 years has the right to early care at 45 years old.

Harmful retirement at 55 for men and fifty for women, respectively, will be expected by people working in difficult working conditions. For this, the working experience of a man in this place should be at least 12.5 years, and the insurance experience - a quarter of a century. The requirements that the law makes for women are much milder - at least 10 years of experience in working with difficult conditions and twenty years of insurance experience.

What workers are expected to retire at 55 and 50? Tram drivers, trolleybus and bus drivers working on regular city routes. Dock mechanics involved in loading and unloading in ports, as well as citizens serving civil aviation vessels. For early retirement, the above categories of workers require at least twenty years of work in the specialty (women 15 years old) and a quarter century of work experience (women 20 years old).

People who are part of the ship’s crew and are constantly working on traveling and service auxiliary vessels, or in the port water area, as well as civil servants operating civilian aircraft, are also waiting for early retirement. For this, men need 12.5 years to work in the specified specialty and have 25 years of insurance experience. Women need to work 10 years and have twenty years of insurance experience.

In some specialties, retirement in Russia does not depend on the age of the employee, but only on his length of service. For example, rescuers, who have worked for 15 years in professional rescue services and are involved in the aftermath of emergency situations and natural disasters, are sent ahead of time for well-deserved rest. But at the same time, the minimum age for them to retire is 40 years. Roughly speaking, if a person began to work in this position at the age of 25, he will retire at 40, if at 22, then at 40. And if only at 35, then at 50, having worked the required 15 years.

The same applies to teachers who have worked in institutions for at least a quarter of a century. As well as workers involved in the treatment or protection of public health in towns and villages. It is enough for such specialists to work for 25 years in their specialty to retire before the deadline.

All of the listed cases of retirement belong to the categories of citizens working in hard, responsible or dangerous work.

However, there are separately defined preferential retirement benefits for mothers.

In particular, a woman can retire at fifty, having fifteen years of insurance, if she gave birth to five children and raised them at least eight years of age.

Also, a woman can go on vacation if she gave birth to at least two children and at the same time worked for twelve years in the Far North (or 17 years in the territories equated to them), having twenty years of insurance experience.

In addition, the law provides for a number of benefits for persons with disabilities and their relatives for early retirement. The entire list of preferential categories of citizens, as well as a full description of all types of work giving the right to early retirement, can be found in the federal law "On labor pensions in the Russian Federation" dated 12/17/2001.

By the way, legislation does not oblige a person to quit immediately upon reaching retirement age. He may well work in his field for many more years.
