Creature
In the 1920s, the village of Vorotynsk (Kaluga Region) became a center for the manufacture of bricks and ceramic tiles. Initially, it was a semi-artisan seasonal production that provided for the needs of nearby settlements. In 1944, the construction of a full-fledged enterprise on the basis of rich reserves of high-quality clay began here.
The restoration of the national economy required an unprecedented amount of building materials. In 1946, the plant delivered the first batch of bricks. To increase productivity in the 1950s, mechanization of the production cycle was actively introduced, a powerful Bokka kiln was built for firing bricks.
Development
In 1957-1960, the Vorotynsky brick factory received a rebirth. According to the reorganization plan, its capacity increased from 2 to 12-14 million bricks annually. At the same time, infrastructure is being updated, road access roads are being reconstructed, a railway line is being laid to the enterprise.
In the 70s, VKZ capacities doubled - up to 28 million units. Opens an experimental workshop of polymer products. In its walls, metal-coated plastic is made of polyethylene (for the first time in the USSR), facing bricks, suspended ceilings, fiberglass and much more. The company was repeatedly awarded with VDNH diplomas.
Giant plant
In 1985, the Soviet government commissioned the creation of the largest cluster of enterprises in the Central Region on the basis of the Vorotynsky Pilot Plant, which will embody the most advanced technologies in construction. These are the plants:

Technology

At the moment, VKZ is capable of producing up to 100 million units of products per year. For these purposes, 125,000 tons of clay are mined at the factory quarry.
The company has its own accredited laboratory, which is a full-fledged research complex. Laboratory staff carry out multilevel control over the entire production chain, starting from the chemical composition and properties of clay and ending with a comprehensive test of the finished product for water absorption, frost resistance and strength.
VKZ is actively working both with organizations and individual developers. The plant ships products by road and rail. Loading is carried out around the clock.
Products
Vorotynsky brick factory produces bricks with a rich range of textures and colors, characterized by high strength, dimensional accuracy, durability. The assortment includes about 50 varieties. It:
