Establishment of an enterprise

Civil Aviation Plant No. 410 was established on July 1, 1948 on the premises of the Ukrainian Civil Air Fleet Directorate located at Zhuliany Airport. The organization’s responsibilities included the repair of engines of the M-116, ASh-62IR series and V-2 aircraft. Despite problems with personnel and technological equipment, on October 21, 1948, the efforts of 25 employees of the air depot were repaired and solemnly handed over to the Ukrainian Civil Air Fleet Directorate the first restored engine ASh-62IR No. 628-333.

A year later, the company employed more than 200 people. A training plan has been developed. An important matter was the improvement of the organization of production, the acquisition of new equipment, devices and installations that increase productivity. New technologies were developed and introduced, which made it possible to integrate the process of repairing aircraft into a single whole. New units were created, the necessary capital facilities were built.

Production expansion

The launch of the IL-12 piston aircraft into a series was the beginning of the second stage of the state enterprise "Plant No. 410 Civil Aviation". With equipping with new equipment and expanding production facilities, improving the material base, repair of the IL-12 was organized in 1955. In 1959, the overhaul of the first Il-14 aircraft was completed.

In the 60s, the plant began servicing the gas-turbine aircraft equipment of An-24 model turboprop aircraft. From that moment he became the leading organization for the repair of aircraft engineering design Antonov. The team is gaining a reputation as a model repair company in the aviation industry of Ukraine.

Since 1972, serial repairs of the engine and its units, the power auxiliary unit of the AI-9 series for the regional-class aircraft Yak-40 have been carried out. In 1976, factory workers mastered the repair of the An-26 cargo and transport aircraft. A year later, an aerial photograph aircraft An-30 and a bit later transport An-32 joined the series of equipment being repaired by the enterprise.

The 80s

The overhaul of the D-36 modular engine for the Yak-42, An-72, An-74 models contributed to the further development of the enterprise. Since 1986, the scheduled serial repair of motors began on leased areas of the Motorostroitel VO in the city of Zaporozhye.

In 1988, the plant was given permission to start a mass overhaul of the engine in its own areas in Kiev on Vozduhoflotsky Prospekt. Soon, the D-36 became a priority product of the plant. In parallel, the repair of the AI-8 turbogenerator unit for heavy helicopters Mi-6 and Mi-10K was mastered.

Today

From 2008 to 2016, the plant was headed by S. M. Podreza. Twenty-two years of experience at the enterprise and the talent of the leader allowed to maintain high standards of service for aviation equipment.

On June 15, 2015, according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the enterprise became part of the Ukroboronprom state concern. Since June 16, 2016, V.V. Gankevich has been appointed to the post of General Director. Factory address: Ukraine, Kiev, Vozdukhoflotsky prospect, building 94.

Activities

After independence, aircraft repair volumes fell sharply. The company remained afloat due to the expansion of the range of works. The factory began to perform:

  • all types of aircraft maintenance models of the Antonov series;
  • restoration and control work on the An-74, equipped with a power plant D-36;
  • re-equipment of salons (cargo-passenger version and VIP-class);
  • aircraft modernization (installation of modern radio technical navigation equipment).

At the State Enterprise "Plant No. 410 Civil Aviation", new technological equipment has been introduced that allows for complex processes such as plasma and detonation spraying, laser processing, and aircraft painting with acrylic and polyurethane enamels. Cooperation with international air corporations is seen as promising.

New technologies

The plant successfully uses new equipment in the technological process of repairing aircraft and aircraft engines. The laser complex is used for cutting structures of varying complexity from sheet materials: steel, plexiglass, plywood up to 5 mm thick.

The detonation unit is designed to restore parts of aircraft with increased wear by the method of detonation pollination of powdered metal materials onto a prepared surface. The coating thickness is 0.002–0.8 mm. Dimensions of the restored parts: diameter - 0.7 m, length - 1.5 m.

A specialized installation is used in the technological process of manufacturing high pressure hoses with a metal braid and an inner diameter of 4-12 mm, used in hydraulic systems of various aircraft.
