He has practically no age restrictions (6+), so he can be safely watched with children in the evening, in a warm family circle. Moreover, the cartoon is also strongly motivated by action.

This animated film was created jointly by American and Chinese filmmakers. The main initiator and, in fact, the person thanks to whom the cartoon appeared, was Ash Brannon, who acted both as a film director and screenwriter.
The world premiere of "Rock Dog" (cartoon, 2017), the actors in the dubbing of which are quite eminent, took place in July 2016. Unfortunately for the creators, the global distribution was not very successful, so after almost a year it was decided to launch the cartoon in Russia, although initially this point was in question.
With a budget of $ 60 million, the cartoon managed to collect only 9.4 million in American box office. This situation can be considered a complete failure, since the project was designed specifically for the US market.

Plot
In the center of events is an anthropomorphic dog named Boudy, who is distinguished by his optimistic mood, cheerfulness and positive. For centuries, his family has been protecting the village from wolves. This is not surprising, because he is a guard dog.
However, Bowdy dreams of something completely different - he wants to become a musician. Moreover, he sincerely wants to be a student of the cat Angus himself, who is a living legend of rock music.
But he is not at all inclined to teach Bowdy a musical craft. In addition, these wolves constantly put sticks in wheels. But the cheerful dog decides at all costs to achieve its goal. He proves by personal example that if you really want to, you can reach any peak.

Talented and eminent people were invited to the voice acting of the characters, behind whom there are a large number of worthy film works.
For example, the main character is voiced by none other than Luke Wilson, who is known for such works as The Diamond Policeman and The Guest Tours. He brilliantly played his character, giving him a great voice.
Engusa was voiced by Eddie Izzard (Treasure Island, Lost Christmas), which was no less good and charismatic than Wilson.
