The whole world seemed to be against him. Troubles at work, problems in the family, and then a terrible epidemic began, which spawned an army of the living dead. But if this helps to return the former girlfriend, then why not? Such a situation is described in the movie “Zombies named Sean,” the actors whose roles and plot will be discussed in this article.
Meet Sean!
His life is boring and mediocre. He is renting an apartment for two with his former classmate Ed. Every day he goes to an electronics store, where he works as a sales assistant, and in the evening he visits the same institution - Winchester Pub. In principle, this suits Sean, which cannot be said about his girlfriend Liz. She asks for more attention, but he does not. Therefore, he was left alone.
Despite one of the reasons for their separation, the guy in the company of a friend sets off to pour grief in his favorite pub. And when the guys wake up, they notice a strange dead-looking girl in their garden. It turns out that a terrible epidemic has gripped the world, because of which people lose control and become aggressive. They will be able to protect themselves, but there is also Sean's mother and his ex-girlfriend. Who will help them?
The film "Zombies named Sean": actors and roles
A short way to the store. But he did not pay attention to the fact that around the devastation, that the dead were roaming the streets, that the refrigerator with beer and the floor next to it were stained with blood, and there was no usual seller behind the counter. Probably, even Vitya Perestukin in The Country of Unlearned Lessons was less carefree than Sean. His role was played by Simon Pegg, whose films before that were not very successful.
But Sean is faithful. After all, every day, even after breaking up with Liz, he continues to go to the pub. Although it does the right thing. He is familiar with the girl recently, she still needs to be checked. And the Winchester will still be useful to him and his friend.
Ed (Nick Frost) also has warm feelings for this place. He is probably even a more frequent visitor, because the guy does not work, at least officially. His earnings are based on selling dope to local teens. But while things stand still. So the video box and Winchester at the moment are his only occupations.
To some extent, the fact that Sean left her friend is his fault. He is always there, and this eliminates the possibility of lovers being alone. But you should give him credit: Ed is a good friend. Despite the pathological laziness, the guy did not leave his friend when he needed help.
Liz (Kate Ashfield) would probably also support Sean. She likes the guy. But her conditions - to quit smoking, limit communication with Ed and begin to somehow develop - are too cruel for the guy. That means they should not be together.
Her social circle is so narrow that it includes only a strange couple - Diana and David
(Lucy Davis and
Dylan Moran). They do not leave their upset girlfriend for a minute. They answer calls, open the door, and even, probably, take out the garbage. In general, they are doing everything to keep her away from Sean. Only all this is in vain: the guy set a goal
to return the girl. Maybe Liz doesn’t know yet, but their paths still cross. As soon as mom is saved.
After all, Barbara (Penelope Wilton) son and so rarely sees. He would visit her more often, but somehow he did not want to meet his stepfather Philip (Bill Nyei) once again. They say that over time you can get used to everything, but not in this case. So many years have passed, and the gap between them only widens. Or maybe not everything is so bad? Maybe Philip thinks differently? And someday, Sean will find out how his stepfather actually treats him.
This is scary
On the one hand, the film "Zombies named Sean" belongs to the horror genre. Indeed, sometimes it shows quite cruel scenes. Unhappy, caught in the clutches of a dead crowd, torn to pieces, like lions an antelope. And this is not always about third-party roles.
So losses cannot be avoided. Sean turned out to be too noble. He wanted to help everyone, forgetting that it was not only up to him. No one is safe from death. But it is foolish to wait from the picture for some sad events. Too much they make fun of. And this is the flip side of the film.
This is ridiculous
After all, the line between horror and comedy is very thin here. And the actors who starred in the movie "Zombies named Sean" will constantly remind about this. Literally just one of the heroes was taken apart, and after a few seconds his leg was used as a weapon against zombies. In general, stupid actions are characteristic of each character. Almost everyone except Liz.
The girl initially somehow does not fit into this company. Surprisingly, her behavior is too adequate. But this is not a mistake in the scenario, here the matter is much more serious. The bottom line is that the film "Zombies named Sean" touches on the topic of relations between Sean and Liz, which have not yet ended. Therefore, Liz cannot be touched by the mind, like all characters. Otherwise, there will be no romance. No wonder the director

But let's move on to the army of the dead. In the movie "Zombies named Sean," the actors play mostly positive characters. Even zombies seem good-natured and safe. Of course, their basic instinct cannot be removed anywhere - the dead are simply obliged to eat. But if that, they can wait.
For example, having heard a quarrel between two heroes, they may postpone lunch to make sure they don’t miss something interesting. Their sacrifices are mainly the result of the actions of the characters themselves. This is the source of the real troubles.

Most confident, probably, felt the actor who played Sean. Indeed, one of the screenwriters was Simon Pegg himself. Films with his participation, by the way, after this project became more expensive and interesting. “Mission Impossible”, “Star Trek” and “Star Wars” speak for themselves.
