God appeared in the 20th episode of Season 11, titled "Don't Call Me Shirley." In the story, Amara, the sister of God, is again trying to find her brother, who, as she and the Winchesters know from the words of Metatron, has long come down from Heaven and lives somewhere on Earth. To do this, she sends a terrible virus to the whole city, subjugating the human mind.
Ultimately, the plan works Sam and Dean finally get acquainted with the Almighty, who is the writer Chuck, who has been featured in some episodes since the fourth season. At the end of the series, a special medallion glowing next to the Lord, which the main characters received from Castiel, shows the Winchesters who their old acquaintance really is.
Previous appearances
Apart from the mentions, in the previous episodes God appeared in the image of Chuck Shirley, the writer who predicted the lives of the Winchesters brothers, writing books about it. This was the fourth season. Then the heroes found out that Chuck is a prophet of the Lord and is under the protection of one of the Archangels.
Several times, the brothers used the help of their new acquaintance to find out some events from the future. After which he again appeared in the fifth season in several episodes, including the last, which was originally conceived as the ending of the series. In it, Chuck told the story of the Kid (the Winchester family car), which directly affects the battle between Lucifer and Michael. It is interesting that at some point, having finished the story with an open finale, Chuck simply disappeared into thin air.

The creators of the series originally planned to show the actor Rob Benedict God, without directly declaring it anywhere. As the performer of the role at one of the conferences admitted in 2011, the author of the idea of Supernatural Eric Kripke personally asked him to play the Lord.

In Supernatural, God revealed his character in Season 11, turning out to be more down to earth than everyone expected. In the finale, he reunited with Darkness, a sister who had been a threat to humanity throughout the season and whom Sam and Dean had fought so hard with. Having disappeared in order to spend time alone with Amara and restore the balance of light and darkness on Earth, God put a pretty decent point in his story arch.
