In 1935, Professor L.I. Sverzhevsky laid the foundation of this famous medical institution by organizing a research institute of the People’s Commissariat of Health, where diseases of the ear, throat and nose were studied, which existed until 2001 as the Institute of Otolaryngology in Moscow. A year later, by order of the capital’s government, it was reopened as the Scientific and Practical Center for Otolaryngology by order of the Moscow Health Committee.
Memory
