Martin John Christopher Freeman was born on September 8, 1971 in the small town of Oldershot, Hampshire, in the family of a naval officer. Parents had five children, Martin is the youngest of them. He had to survive the divorce of his parents, after which the future actor began to live with his father, but when Martin was seven years old, his father died. And then his mother took him to her house. The family moved several times until it finally stopped in one of the districts of London - Teddington.
