Cabbage Slimming Diet

There is a cabbage diet for weight loss, which was developed in the late twentieth century for people who have undergone surgery. But it turned out that this diet is also useful for people who want to lose extra pounds. Nutritionists even call cabbage a vegetable that has a calorie content with a minus sign, because our body needs much more energy to process cabbage than it gets by consuming it.

The cabbage diet for weight loss has many variations, and the most popular diet is cabbage broth or soup. The duration of such a diet is seven days, the interval between such “cabbage weeks” should be at least two months, since if the diet is used too often and for too long, there is a possibility of side effects, such as decreased attention span, weakness, fatigue, headaches and apathy .

The main ingredient of this diet is cabbage soup made from 500 grams of white cabbage, 6 arrows of green onions, 100 grams of brown rice, 5 stalks of celery, 5 carrots, 2 peppers, 2 tomatoes and 6 onions.

Cooking method. Wash all vegetables. Chop the cabbage, cut the carrots into slices or straws, pepper into slices, onions into rings, celery into small pieces. Remove the peel from the tomato, first scalding them with boiling water, chop. All vegetables are placed in a large container, pour them with water, bring to a boil, boil without a lid for several minutes. In another pan, boil pre-washed brown rice, close the lid, let it brew. In an almost ready-made cabbage broth for weight loss, add brewed rice, chopped onions and salt.

The main product of the diet is, of course, cabbage soup, in addition to it, the approximate menu of this includes:

  • first day - any fruit, with the exception of bananas;
  • the second day - any vegetables;
  • the third day - a mixture of any fruits and vegetables;
  • fourth day - skim milk and bananas;
  • fifth day - 500 grams of fish or any lean meat, tomatoes;
  • sixth day - any lean meat and vegetables;
  • seventh day - vegetables and fruit juice.

This diet option is quite strict, but you can withstand it. To increase the effectiveness of this diet, like any other, moderate physical activity is recommended.

Another very effective variety of cabbage diets is a ten-day cabbage diet for weight loss, which, in addition to getting rid of extra pounds, is also aimed at cleansing the intestines. The menu of this diet is quite monotonous and repeats every day.

Breakfast consists of coffee without sugar (you can use a substitute).

For lunch, cabbage salad with one tablespoon of oil (unrefined vegetable) or cabbage soup. Once every two days it is allowed to eat another boiled egg.

Dinner includes one of three options: 250 grams of low-fat fish, 250 grams of low-fat meat or 200 ml of kefir with a fat content of 1%.

Between meals, it is allowed to consume cabbage in any quantities and green tea. Salt, sugar, flour products and alcohol are prohibited. During the diet you need to drink a sufficient amount of liquid, it is better if it is still mineral water.
