About "fake" ammunition
Unlike combat, idle cartridges are not equipped with a projectile: in such products there is no bullet. The only objective of these ammunition is to simulate a shot, that is, to create a light-sound effect.
According to experts, in some variants of blank cartridges a bullet may still be present, but it is made of paper or wood. Thus, firing a blank cartridge at long distances is not capable of doing absolutely no harm. At close range, there is still a risk of getting a thermal burn. Owners of wet pistols should take this fact into account during the operation of non-combat weapons.
About the products of Tekhkrim CJSC
The 10TK cartridge is based on the standard 9x18 mm caliber ammunition shell used in the Makarov pistol. Since the main task of the blank ammunition is to produce only an acoustic simulation of a shot, the projectile is missing from it. Where can one buy?
In accordance with Russian law, 10TK is considered to be safe from injury and does not belong to the category of live ammunition. This provision is officially enshrined in the Federal Law on Weapons No. 398-FZ and is valid from December 28, 2010. What weapon ammunition is suitable for?
A supplement made in July 2011 to the Federal Law, the 10TK cartridge was recognized as a device designed specifically for use in firearms of limited destruction (AEO). In addition, gas and signal rifle models can be charged with this blank ammunition. The blank cartridge is used exclusively for reproduction of acoustic action. The design features of 10 TCs do not allow it to be used to kill living or other targets. The 10TK ammunition is used exclusively in Makarov’s cooled pistols (PM CX), Beretta M-92, Kedr submachine guns, Nagan, Taurus-CO and Tanfoglio-CO revolvers. According to experts, firing blank ammunition is also possible from any other dehydrated weapons (SHP) of this caliber. Such products are characterized by the presence of weakened main nodes. The energy of bestowal is not used in their work. Since a half suspension of gunpowder is provided for idle ammunition, the cartridge is used without risk of destroying the gun. According to experts, in Russia, of all models of wetted pistols, the most popular is the PM SHP.
Makarov belongs to the category of decommissioned pistols, which, as a result of irreversible technical changes, lose their combat properties. Enhanced PM, as well as other models of small arms, are used in cinema, as well as during historical reconstructions.
