Lucas Haas is an American actor whose career, for over three decades, has participated in about fifty films and television shows. Lucas is a talented musician, author of several soundtracks for films, as well as a drummer and keyboard player in the band The Rogues.
Biography
The actor was born on April 16, 1976 in a city called West Hollywood, California. His mother, a native of Texas with English and German roots, is a writer and screenwriter Emily Tracy, and his father is an artist Bertold, a native of Germany. Lucas Haas has two younger brothers, also actors and musicians - the twins Simon and Nikolai.
Early roles
Even in early childhood, the director of the kindergarten noticed the acting potential of the future star and advised his parents to think about the boy’s career in the cinema. They did so, and at the age of five, the casting manager Marjorie Simkin noticed the child. In 1983, Lucas Haas got his debut role in the film Testament, where he played the youngest of the doomed children of housewife Carol, played by Jane Alexander. In 1985, a big breakthrough took place in the boy’s career, in the romantic thriller Witness.
Lucas played the main character, the boy Samuel from the Amish village, who became the only witness to the murder and should help in the investigation and accept the protection of the police officer, performed by Harrison Ford.
