Effective cystitis treatment

One of the unpleasant diseases that significantly spoils life is cystitis. Inflammation of the bladder mainly affects women due to the peculiarities of their anatomy. If the treatment of cystitis is carried out incorrectly, then the person dooms himself to constant meetings with him and the development of serious complications.

An important guarantee of effective treatment of this disease is the timely treatment of the patient. At the first symptoms of cystitis, you need to visit a urologist. For its successful treatment, all pathogens must be identified. Among them, there may be both opportunistic flora and STDs.

Tests that should be taken with symptoms of cystitis:

  • total urine and blood;
  • smear on the flora;
  • urine culture with an antibioticogram;
  • seeding on microflora with an antibioticogram;
  • PCR scraping (herpes, cytomegalovirus, HPV, gonococci, chlamydia trachomatis, trichomonas, mycoplasma genitalium);
  • seeding on mycoplasma and ureaplasma with an antibioticogram.

It is also advisable to test the blood for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, toxoplasmosis, tuberculosis.

It is important to undergo a comprehensive examination before taking any drugs. Of course, with acute cystitis, the results of the tests are not expected and therapy is prescribed. However, the treatment regimen is supplemented, if necessary, after they are received.

It is impossible to cure cystitis at home alone, using the advice of friends. Avoid taking antibiotics also does not work. The use of natural preparations and fees gives good results, but only as a supplement. They are also useful for the prevention of relapse.

It is important to understand that the symptoms of cystitis can pass themselves, but this does not mean a cure. It’s just that the disease has turned into a chronic form, and any provoking factor will cause its exacerbation. The treatment of cystitis in this case is much more complicated. This will require much more time and money.

Frequent relapses of the disease lead to irreversible changes in the wall of the bladder, over time, its normal functioning is disrupted. This can lead to urinary incontinence, cancer, decreased capacity, and constant pain.

Quite often, inflammation spreads to the kidneys, leading to chronic pyelonephritis over time. This disease contributes to the occurrence of renal failure.

So, how is a person who no longer wants to deal with cystitis treated? Therapy necessarily contains antibacterial, immune, antifungal drugs. It is necessary to include drugs that normalize the microflora and support the liver.

After 3 weeks, control is carried out. Urinalysis is mandatory (general and culture). When treating any STDs, their PCR and ELISA are performed. If there are deviations in the analyzes, the doctor will prescribe a second course of therapy, perhaps another or several drugs will be used.

After treatment, preventive courses are carried out. They may contain herbs, uroseptics, immunomodulators, drugs that restore the liver and microflora.

It is advisable to conduct a urinalysis (total and culture) every month. In addition, it will be useful to visit a dentist and otolaryngologist, since carious teeth and chronic inflammation of the nasopharynx can contribute to relapse of cystitis.

In the chronic course of the disease, cystoscopy should be done with a good doctor. He will assess the degree of damage to the wall of the bladder, prescribe therapy.

In order for the treatment of cystitis to be successful, it is strictly forbidden:

  • eat smoked, pickled, salty, spicy;
  • drink coffee, alcohol, soda;
  • supercool;
  • subjected to strong physical exertion;
  • have sex without a condom; in general, it is better to completely abandon it during therapy.

So, the effective treatment of cystitis is a long and laborious process, especially if the disease is started. It will not work out with a course of antibiotics alone. A comprehensive examination is required, including for STDs. During the year you need to take tests and take preventive courses.
