The drug "Tauremisin" is a natural remedy obtained from a medicinal plant - Taurida or Crimean wormwood. This plant is considered poisonous, often there have been cases of poisoning of domestic animals grazing in the places of its growth. In general, treatment with Tauremisin has an analeptic effect on the patient’s body, that is, it enhances cardiac and respiratory activity.
The positive medical effect of this substance on the human body has been studied for many years in a number of clinics. So, the specialists of the Odessa Medical Institute for the first time used drugs based on Tauride wormwood in the treatment of patients with diseases of the respiratory system (pneumonia, bronchial asthma), digestive organs (stomach ulcer, chronic gastritis), and primary hypertension. For all patients, the drug was administered subcutaneously no more than twice a day for 18 days. As a result of the use of the new drug in most patients, improvements in the general condition of the body, normalization of the heartbeat, and the disappearance of shortness of breath were noted. Treatment with cardiac Tauremisinum is usually carried out under strict medical supervision, as it helps to reduce myocardium and increase blood pressure.
The drug is highly soluble in water, this allows you to enter it intravenously; Compared with caffeine or camphor, tauremisin is rapidly absorbed into the blood, which leads to a rapid onset of relief of the patient's condition. Treatment of certain diseases with Tauremisin can be carried out only as directed by a specialist. Indications for its use:
- hypotension;
- acute and chronic heart failure ;
- asphyxia;
- body poisoning;
- neurasthenia, sleep disturbances;
- ulcerative colitis;
- tuberculosis;
- obesity.
As a result of many years of experience, experts have established a positive effect of this tool on the work of the heart muscle and its blood supply. It was also proved that treatment with Tauremisin improves electrocardiographic parameters, reduces venous pressure, increases stroke volumes of the heart and lung capacity. This drug is low toxic and has virtually no side effects, since it is completely made from natural raw materials.
The drug "Tauremisin" is available in the following dosage forms:
- a white crystalline powder that has a bitter taste and is readily soluble in chloroform and ethyl alcohol;
- 0.5% oral solution (contains ethyl alcohol);
- tablets for oral use, available in packs of 10 to 100 pieces each;
- 0.25% solution for subcutaneous and intravenous administration.
Tauremisin treatment is indicated for people with diseases such as periodontitis, gingivitis, stomatitis, nail fungus (in this case, the drug is used as a solution to rinse the mouth and prepare foot baths). Contraindications for use - pregnancy and epilepsy; it is also not recommended to take the drug in a state of intoxication due to the strength of ethyl alcohol. The combination of this medication and a large dose of alcohol can lead to intoxication of the body. Another contraindication to the use of drugs based on Taurida wormwood extract is high blood pressure. Treatment with "Tauremisinum" is usually prescribed for people with chronic hypotension, that is, on the contrary, in the case of excessively low blood pressure.
Essential oil extracted from Taurida wormwood under laboratory conditions is used as a room flavoring agent that eliminates most unpleasant odors and relieves pet fleas of the house. Since ancient times, wormwood has been used in aromatherapy. The so-called dried grass pads are very popular, for example. The composition of such a pillow most often includes a certain number of hop cones, peppermint and Tauride wormwood. The presence in the bedroom of such an inconspicuous at first glance little thing has a relaxing effect on a person during sleep, contributes to a quick fall asleep and a good rest of the body at night.
