How to rinse your nose with a cold

For this, we lower the nose into a cup of water and slowly draw water with both nostrils so that the solution passes through the nasopharynx to the mouth, at the end we release it through the mouth. First, wash your nose 3-4 times with soda solution, then repeat the same procedure with saline. And finally, the procedure with iodine solution. To prevent burns, monitor the temperature of the solution, it should not exceed 37 degrees.

The washing procedure brings quick relief that lasts for 6 hours. When you finish the flushing procedure, some of the water may still remain in the sinuses. Therefore, in order to completely get rid of the saline solution, pour fresh water into the cup and rinse your throat several times (with your head tilted back). This must be done in order to cleanse the mucus and the remnants of the sinus solution. Rinsing the nose with a runny nose is carried out on the first day every 3 hours, the second day and subsequent days in the morning and evening.

Folk medicine recommends using the following medicinal herbs for rinsing the nose: gingerbread, St. John's wort, mint, sage, calendula, coltsfoot, horsetail, chamomile, linden. But it is better to consult your doctor who will tell you more accurately than rinsing your nose with a runny nose.

Rinsing is a very good method in treating not only a common cold, but also chronic or acute sinusitis. Also, nose washing is necessary for people working in very dusty conditions. • with complete obstruction of the nasal passages: nasal tumors, polyps in the nose or adenoids of 3-4 degrees.
