Kazakhstan is located in two parts of the world: in Asia and a little in Europe. Therefore, this is the only country where players play in European continental competitions, and almost all the rest compete in Asian championships. We offer you to read a brief overview about how many areas in Kazakhstan, what are interesting stories and facts about them.
Which Kazakhstani lives in Europe
All residents of the West Kazakhstan region can be considered Europeans, the capital of the region is Uralsk. The only thing the region was famous for was the Ural River, in which, in the book of D. Furmanov, the hero of the civil war, Chapaev Vasily Ivanovich, drowned. The region got out of poor relatives to the rich when oil production began at the Karachaganak field. Export of this fuel to European countries is about 10 billion US dollars. In addition, a large piece of the Atyrau region and a small Aktobe belongs to Europe. Although here the British have their own opinion, they recognize Europe as only the right-bank parts of the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions.
There is not so much oil in everything else in Kazakhstan, but in the regions of this Western region. Atyrau was famous for kebab and beshbarmak from sturgeon. Although, thanks to the western region, Kazakhstan fell into the UEFA zone, while local clubs do not go to European tournaments.
North and North Capital
From a small pale town, Astana has turned into one of the most modern and beautiful policies of the post-Soviet space. But the climate was terrible, and remained. Sometimes a snowstorm comes in winter, then life almost freezes. Last year, Astana successfully held the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017, in which 100 countries took part, and $ 2.1 billion was spent on the construction of facilities. In this cold climate there are North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Kostanai and Pavlodar regions.
Although there is a risky farming zone, 80 percent of wheat grown in Kazakhstan is produced in the northern region. The latter is the ninth in the world in terms of grain exports, and annually produces 10-12 million tons of wheat.
"By themselves" regions
In Kazakhstan, there are two regions that are βon their ownβ regions: the Central region (Karaganda region) and the Eastern region (East Kazakhstan region). Almost the entire mining and metallurgical industry of the country is concentrated in two regions, the extraction and processing of copper, gold, silver, tantalum, nickel and other non-ferrous metals. As many regions in Kazakhstan in 2014 had mineral reserves, so much has a rare country in the world. The regional center of East Kazakhstan, which in pre-revolutionary times was part of the Tomsk province, is located in the spurs of the Ore Altai. In the beautiful mountain meadows of it are the only nurseries in Kazakhstan for breeding deer and stocking antlers.

In addition to the famous saying "Where, where? In Karaganda!", The regional center of Central Kazakhstan was famous for the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant (now the Indian "Mital"). Currently, the whole world (at least the boxing one) knows this city as the birthplace of Gennady Golovkin, an invincible professional boxer, world champion in all versions.
Rich south
As elsewhere in the world, most people live in warm places. Almaty, South Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl regions are the most densely populated regions of the country, there are also the largest cities - Almaty, Shimkent and the special city of Baikonur. There are so many regions in Kazakhstan, so many interesting stories. For example, Shimkent is the only city that Russian troops conquered in the 19th century, then it belonged to the Kokand Khanate. Almaty was built by Russian Cossacks as Fort Verny, and until now Vernyi has sometimes signed this city on foreign maps.
The economic contribution of the region is insignificant (mainly agriculture), there are only the remains of industry and deposits of some minerals. However, it is possible that soon the question of how many regions in Kazakhstan produce hydrocarbons will have to be answered taking into account the fields of the Kyzylorda region, which are successfully explored in the region.
