The history of sports facilities must begin with the purpose for which it appeared. In 1976, a team from the city of Orenburg appeared on the football map of Russia. In the future, the stadium "Gazovik" (Orenburg), the reconstruction of which was so necessary, acquired an administrative building. And in 2006 it was put into operation. What, besides the Gazovik office, was located in this building? There are locker rooms for football players, a rehabilitation center and many other rooms. The next reconstruction had to wait three long years. This is precisely the time it took to realize the need for updating and collecting finance for future events.

All these improvements were carried out for one purpose: the residents of the city wanted to see their football club in the elite of Russian football. But it was not so simple. Exactly one year later, Gazovik leaves the first division. It seemed that the funds invested in the reconstruction were wasted.
But the Orenburgers believed in their team. In 2013, the team returned to the first division and in the same year won a ticket to the National Football League. And it becomes clear that the Gazovik stadium (Orenburg), the reconstruction of which has already been carried out more than once, is not ready for such a take-off of the team. Moreover, the team faces even more ambitious tasks.
Since 2014, a new investment begins in the Gazovik stadium (Orenburg). Reconstruction is now being carried out in stages. For three years, the stadium takes on a modern look.
