Soviet and Russian illustrious actor Vladimir Antonik is known to viewers not only for his roles, but also for his dubbing. His expressive, unique voice is spoken by the heroes of many blockbusters. The main stages of the actor’s biography and the creative activities of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation are described in this article.
Unrealized dream
Vladimir Vladimirovich Antonik was born on February 13, 1953 in the territory of the Byelorussian SSR, in a town called Slonim, in the Grodno region. The future actor, along with his parents, lived on Suvorov Street.
At that time, he still did not think about becoming an artist and connecting his life with art and creativity. Antonik aspired to a completely different field of activity - he dreamed of becoming a geologist.
At the end of schooling, sixteen-year-old Vladimir and his friend went to Ukrainian Dnepropetrovsk. The friends had a firm intention to enter the local mining institute - to study geology. But Volodya failed to fulfill his dream. Only his friend became a student of the Dnipropetrovsk University - Antonik failed the exams.
Fluke
A frustrated young man returned to his native Slonim. It was here that a case occurred that was important in the biography of actor Vladimir Antonik. During one of the walks in the surrounding places, he accidentally discovered a folded newspaper on the bank of the Shchara River. The publication was fresh, from nothing to do Volodya began to read it. Among the various notes and news, the young man caught the eye of an ad about going to the acting studio at VGIK. So chance changed his life.
Volodya then had a very vague idea of cinematography. However, the decision to try his hand was made instantly - he went to Moscow. Before leaving, his father handed him 20 rubles and a peculiar parting word: "If you do, I will send money, but no, drive back as you want!" The journey from Slonim was a long one - through Grodno, Minsk. And finally, the future actor Vladimir Antonik arrived in the capital of the USSR.
The first steps
The number of people wishing to enter the Institute of Cinematography was really huge. Volodya perfectly understood that he had few chances, and especially did not count on admission. But the masters spotted acting talent in a nice guy. Vladimir became a student at VGIK, namely, I. Talankin's workshop.
Antonik received his debut role during his studies. In 1971, he played Sasha in "Black Rusks" - the tape of the joint production of the Soviet Lenfilm and the GDR film studio.
In 1973, Vladimir received a diploma and began professional activities. The first place of work of the artist was the studio "Belarusfilm". It was here that actor Vladimir Antonik received the role of Misha Polyakov, who glorified him, in "The Last Summer of Childhood" based on A. Rybakov's novel "Shot".
After these shootings, the young graduate was drafted into the army. After serving in his native Belarus, Antonik immediately returned to Moscow. For more than a year, the artist could not find a job. In the end, he still managed to get a job at the Gorky film studio. As a full-time actor, he begins to act actively.
