The other side of the coin is that many Russian directors put this type of art on the conveyor, often forgetting about the fascinating plot and selection of characters. In a completely different format, the series "Angel in the Heart" was shot. Actors of melodrama are stars of Russian cinema and young talented graduates of VGIK.

The inspirer and curator of the picture was Elena Nikolaeva, she is quite a well-known director with experience, on her account 16 mini-series that are popular with viewers. So far, the crown of creativity of Elena, according to critics and viewers, is the four-part film "Angel in the Heart." The actors and roles of the series are selected and thought out to the smallest detail. The whole crew was imbued with the plot, the film turned out to be touching and worthy.
Thanks to an experienced director, all the attributes of the Soviet era are most reliably selected in the film. Although, as Elena Nikolaeva admitted in her interviews, it is quite difficult to find pieces of furniture, cars, clothes of that period. After all, our generation does not consider this a rarity, tunes and remakes things of the past historical era.
Plot
A touching and interesting script attracted such eminent stars as Dmitry Pevtsov and Olga Drozdova to shoot in this film. The storyline affects two time periods: Soviet times, 1985, and today.
Ksenia and Peter are two classmates in love with each other. The children have already planned their lives: after graduation, they go to universities, then they get married and give birth to children. Fate decreed otherwise. The son of the second secretary of the regional committee, Dmitry, falls in love with Ksyusha, and his loving father undertakes to arrange the life of his son and decides to marry the young. Fate itself intervenes in the situation, Xenia's father is accused of embezzlement of state property, he faces a prison. Only a loving daughter can save him, agreeing to get engaged to a barely familiar Dmitry. Young people leave for America, and heartbroken Paul is trying to live on.
Twenty years later, Ksenia, Dmitry and their daughter Rita return to their hometown. They are happy and wealthy. The only circumstance overshadows their lives - memories. Ksenia cannot forgive herself the betrayal of her first love. And this time, fate does not stand aside and brings together the already mature Peter and the young beauty Rita.
The series also has a criminal line. Petr Kuznetsov is a well-known journalist whistleblower. His media holding is investigating the theft of state property. It turns out that the former district managers, having gone on a well-deserved rest, continue to launder money in Crimean dachas.
Dmitry and Daniil Pevtsov
Due to the wide time range, the director was faced with the task of textured selection of actors. Young characters had to look like mature heroes. Elena Nikolaeva immediately invited the singers-Drozdov couple to the series, and the question arose of selecting young actors.
After lengthy auditions, Elena Nikolaeva invited the son of Dmitry Daniil, who, returning from Canada, entered the RATI for directing, but after a few semesters he transferred to the acting department. The young man showed unprecedented professionalism. Even his father proudly stated that Daniel would be a better actor than him.
Unfortunately, the film was the last work presented to the audience by Daniil Pevtsov. "Angel in the Heart" is behind the scenes dedicated to the memory of an actor who tragically died from his injuries after falling from a height.
Olga Drozdova and Anna Mikhailovskaya
Ksenia Kruglova, one of the main characters, was played by the famous actress Olga Drozdova. Olga once again showed the audience her talent, she is a serious dramatic actress, her role and monologues do not leave anyone indifferent. The same character, only twenty years younger, was embodied on the screens by Anna Mikhailovskaya. The shooting took place in the Crimea. The first block was shot with young actors. The guys worked so professionally that the more mature stars, after watching the trailer, even doubted whether they would be able to meet the given bar.
Anna Mikhailovskaya, despite her fairly young age, has already managed to take place in the cinema, she is regularly invited by directors. Working with Elena Nikolaeva is not new to Anna. A friendly atmosphere reigned on the set, and the love story that Anna and Daniel showed was the highlight of the series.
Alexander Soldatkin, Sergey Yushkevich
Another young actor took part in the film - Alexander Soldatkin. On his account only three roles in the movie. The film "Angel in the Heart", whose actors are mostly held stars, became a good springboard in Alexander's career. In this melodrama, he played the young Dmitry Proskurin, the son of a party worker Grigory Dmitrievich.
In adulthood, this character was embodied on the screens by the famous actor Sergei Yushkevich.
Ekaterina Shpitsa and other actors of the series
The biggest intrigue of the picture was the young actress Ekaterina Shpitsa. The girl has already managed to “light up” on television screens, but she made an indelible impression on the viewer precisely after the film “Angel in the Heart”. The actors of the picture harmoniously embodied their characters, but Rita Proskurina, performed by Katy, brought a special charm and intrigue to the film.
In the story between a student at a Moscow institute and her mother’s ex-fiancé, love breaks out. Neither the past, nor the family, nor the age difference can separate the lovers.
Such masters of domestic cinema as Tatyana Dogileva, Valery Barinov and Boris Kamorzin also took part in the film . The actors of the series "Angel in the Heart" during the period of the work process managed to make friends and become one team. The shooting took place in sunny Alushta, Sevastopol, Yalta and other places of Crimea, vacationers constantly crowded near open pavilions and strove to get into the frame. Elena Novikova gladly used them for extras.
