The hindbrain is an integral part of the brain, which includes the cerebellum and the bridge of the brain. This formation ontogenetically originates from the fourth brain bubble and undergoes a series of complex transformations. The hindbrain is bounded from below by the medulla oblongata, from above - by the legs of the brain, and the lateral divisions merge and form the middle legs of the cerebellum.
The brain stem is the main component of the brain after the hemispheres. In the central part of the bridge is the main cluster of neuron bodies - gray matter, as well as the core of the bridge, olive and reticular formation. The nuclei of 5-8 pairs of cranial nerves, which are involved in the formation of innervation of the face and other departments, are also located here. In addition to the cranial nerves, numerous nerve columns from the spinal cord pass through the trunk, and other human vital centers are also located.
The hindbrain is represented by white matter in the form of fibers entering the middle legs of the cerebellum. These fibers are intertwined with wide thick longitudinal bundles of pyramidal pathways, which then enter the spinal cord. All fibers have an upward and downward direction, and, depending on the level at which the lesion occurs, specific symptoms of the disease can be observed. In some places of the brain, the fibers can intersect each other - this should be taken into account when diagnosing deviations
The cerebral hemispheres are one of the most mysterious structures of the human body. Hemispheres along with the cortex have long been studied by physicians from different countries. Some features of the brain function of men and women, children and adolescents were clarified. However, no one can exactly figure out what mental abilities and a person’s propensity for certain talents depends on.
The cerebral hemispheres are composed of gray and white matter. From above, the brain is covered with a cortex (a cluster of neuron nuclei) that forms folds or furrows. In the process of studying the structure of the furrows, it was found out that some of them are responsible for vision, some for hearing and smell. Based on this, we can conclude that there are no inactive and unnecessary structures in the brain.
The left hemisphere of the brain is a kind of center of written and oratory abilities. Thanks to the left half of the brain, a person is able to perceive information by ear, process and be aware of it, and also reproduce it on paper. There is also a memory center, not only long-term, but also short-term.
The right hemisphere is human talent. For a long time it was believed that people are not able to be smart and talented at the same time, but now this myth is dispelled. The right brain can be called the center of our dreams and fantasies. This is where the center of the imagination is located.
But in the left departments, on the contrary, rationality and crude calculation are concentrated. With the help of the left hemisphere, a person realizes what he is doing, is oriented in space, is able to count and count.
We should not forget that the hindbrain is also the cerebellum - the motor and coordination center of the human body. The cerebellum is also covered with bark - a gray matter with furrows, but it does not perform the same functions as the cerebral cortex. The motor part of the brain consists of hemispheres, a worm and a leg, or the middle part. It is easy to see that the cerebellum imitates the structure of the cerebral hemisphere with its structure.
The cerebellum is responsible for one of the main functions of man - movement. Moreover, it’s not just a random chaotic movement, but a logical, coordinated one. This structure of the brain, in combination with the rest, helps to find the human body in an upright position and to carry out targeted movements in a given position.
