Grigory Grabovoi: the history of all-Russian deception

The infamous healer Grigory Grabovoi enjoyed the trust of people for a long time, but still could not escape punishment. What was this man doing and for what he received a respectable term? Details of the sensational story with the “resurrector” and his life after being released from places of detention are presented in this article.

Biography of Gregory Grabovoi

Born on November 14, 1963 in the village of Kirov, Chimkent region. He showed extraordinary abilities at school and in 1986 he graduated from Tashkent State University. The Department of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics could provide him with a position, if not at an educational institution, then at some factory. But a promising young specialist decided not to waste time building a career and declared himself an extrasensory diagnostician. According to his assurances, he could repair a complex technique with the power of thought, and even at a distance. In 1991 he went further and stated that he was clairvoyant.

Second coming

The troubled nineties were a good start for him. People needed faith after the unfinished communism ordered a long life, and the superpower fell apart into many independent states. The churches were still not held in high esteem, which enabled all charlatans to organize sects and gather huge armies of followers. No one really thought about what they were offered to believe in and what the worship of false prophets would lead to. The financial pyramids collapsed, prices soared to incredible heights. The country was in a fever that played into the hands of Grigory Petrovich Grabovoi.

In 1991, he declares himself Jesus Christ at the Second Coming and creates a new religious movement. But it was not enough for the leader of the cult to simply call himself the son of God, he begins to talk about how he can heal the most serious illnesses in the last stages and even raise people from the dead. There was no confirmation of such statements, but the power of suggestion was sufficient - followers flocked to his lecture actively.

Self-interest

Perhaps Grigory Grabovoi would not have received such wide publicity, if not for his thirst for profit. When he realized that it was impossible to raise a lot of money from gullible citizens in such a difficult time, he decided to get rich on those who wanted to learn his unique technique. And who would not want to be able to resurrect people or teleport to any distance? Yes, it resulted in a lot of money, but the result was worth the money spent.

People were bribed by the fact that Wang herself blessed Gregory Grabovoi with such an activity. Opinions about that memorable meeting are still roaming conflicting. There is documentary evidence of a conversation between a young psychic and a blind soothsayer. According to Russian journalists, Vanga was unhappy with her visitor and, after an exam arranged for him, was driven out of the house. The Bulgarian side claims that the old woman liked Grabovoi and she gave him advice to continue working in Russia. Due to the fact that the myth and the abilities of the blind clairvoyant are already debunked, one can not take this fact into account at all. But in the nineties it’s the same as proof of ability.

Rise and fall

By 2000, the influence of Grabovoi was so great that he even conducted his own program on TV-6. A foundation was created and even a newspaper was published. Moreover, the editorial board included significant figures from the State Duma and the Council of Federations. A film was made about him in 2002, and he himself became vice president of the Russian Financial Union Foundation. The name of this man was already booming throughout the country. The people firmly believed that they would not show the deceiver on TV. Some houses kept water "charged" with Chumak, so there is no reason to discuss the adequate perception of former Soviet citizens.

So Gregory Grabovoi would continue to preach his religion, if the country had not suffered another grief. Terrorists captured a school in Beslan, and dozens of mothers were forced to bury their children. While the whole world mourned and sympathized with the mothers of Beslan, Grabovoi decided to give them other support and offered to resurrect their children for a symbolic sum of 39,500 rubles per child. Grief can cloud your mind: unfortunate Ossetian women went to Moscow. Naturally, no resurrection followed, and for the first time the prosecutor’s office began to gaze closely at this man.

Party and President

In 2005, the theater of the absurd begins. This year, Grabovoi himself signed the verdict. First, he tries to register the DRUGG political party, and then he completely declares that he will run for the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in 2008. By that time, the country had already begun to recover, and its program seemed to all more than strange. If the other candidates promised an increase in pensions and benefits, then Grabovoi went further - he simply promised to introduce a death ban. Russian citizens must live forever. He also wanted to unite all the countries of the world and spread his teaching on a voluntary basis.

Arrest

The authorities and ordinary people are tired of looking at this circus. On March 20, 2006, criminal proceedings were instituted against Grabovoi under article 159, part 2, two weeks later the accused was detained. The article for fraud to Gregory Grabovoi promised a considerable period. And so it happened - he was found guilty of the fact that he "cured" people of cancer and AIDS for money, thereby bringing them to death without medical intervention. The court sentenced him to 11 years in prison and a fine of 1 million rubles. After the cassation appeal, the term was changed to 8 years. But he did not serve them either: in 2010 he was released on parole and went to live in Serbia.

There he continues the work of his whole life - he created a company and teaches people "the technologies of eternal life." But, having a bitter experience behind him, he does not broadcast, but trusts to raise money to Russian-speaking teachers and followers of his cult.
