Acne salicylic alcohol.

Acne is the most popular problem among not only the younger generation, but also among adults. It is generally accepted that women are more obsessed with this problem, so basically they are constantly in search of new methods for treating acne.

As a rule, the simplest tool is the most effective. However, most people believe that a good medicine should be expensive. Maybe this rule applies to most drugs, but certainly not salicylic acid.

A solution of salicylic alcohol 2% is used as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent to correct skin defects. Salicylic acid is a universal remedy in the fight against acne. There are many forms of salicylic acid drugs that can be used for medicinal purposes.

For example, salicylic alcohol, the use of which is justified in severe forms of acne and increased oily skin. This drug must be handled very carefully, because the alcohol included in the composition can dry the skin, which will significantly aggravate the course of the disease.

It is best to combine alcohol solutions with powders or ointments, then undesirable effects can be avoided.

Salicylic acid in the form of dry powder or powder is practically not used today. This is not only very inconvenient for the patient and the doctor and, moreover, ineffective (the powder sprinkles and is poorly absorbed). However, it is possible to use the powder in the common form of acne on the back and lower limbs.

Salicylic-based pastes and ointments contain a large number of additional components, including petroleum jelly, so they can lead to clogging of pores. Therefore, these dosage forms, in particular acne salicylic alcohol, should be prescribed with caution, for a short period and best of all locally (to a specific affected area).

Acne salicylic alcohol is not a โ€œwonderful potionโ€ that can clean your face after several procedures. To obtain the first result, it is necessary to use the drug daily for two weeks, but really visible improvement occurs only after 60-70 days of regular use. It must be remembered that the drug has therapeutic efficacy for 10-12 hours, so the affected surface must be treated two to three times a day.

The big misconception is that acne can only be localized on the face. Localization of acne may be the most common. In women, most often - the face, decollete and back, and in men the localization is the same, but instead of the decollete, the legs and lower back are more often affected.

Acne salicylic alcohol can be used on virtually any part of the body except the mucous membranes. It not only eliminates the manifestation of acne, but also helps to normalize the sebaceous glands, prevents the gluing of dead skin cells, which prevents clogging of pores. Salicylic acid helps to even out skin tone, provokes the growth and reproduction of new cells - the skin is renewed and becomes elastic.

Acne salicylic alcohol is quite widespread in modern dermatology. At the same time, salicylic acid was increasingly being included in gels and cleansers, lotions and scrubs, masks and peels.

The biggest plus of these products is that they, as a rule, do not contain alcohol, which means they do not dry the skin. The use of such funds is convenient because the drug is already included in the daily care products - this is not only a treatment, but also the prevention of acne. However, it should be noted that synthetic products are more likely to be allergic than simply salicylic acid.
