This is a universal tool that allows you to make any gel polish matte in one movement of the brush. And you will not have to buy separately the coating of the desired shade, but not in gloss. Economical and simple. After drying the top, the sticky layer is removed from it, if at all, and voila - the matte manicure is ready with gel polish.
Method number 2
This option implies "barbaric", from the point of view of the masters, actions. First, the nails are prepared and processed in the usual way, then a base (base) is applied, a layer of color gel polish, dried, a color layer is applied again. And at this stage, even before drying in a UV lamp, the nails are held for several seconds over a pot of boiling water! From rising steam, the structure of gel polish changes somewhat, the gloss disappears (“tapers”), giving way to dullness. The fixer will have to repeat the procedure so that it also “grows cloudy”. It is worth noting that this option has a significant drawback - there are no guarantees that the dullness will appear equally on all nails. It may turn out that some fingers will be more saturated, while on others the color will generally change beyond recognition. Therefore, the method is considered barbaric.
Correct application
It would seem that it could be simpler than how to apply a matte gel polish. Take it for yourself, and cover your nails in the same way as with ordinary colored material. But not so simple. There are some features and tricks. And you need to know them in advance, even before the procedure begins. If there are no differences at the preparation stage, then in the application process there are a couple of rules.
Foundation basis
First, the nails are filed to the desired shape and length with a sufficiently soft nail file, and the cuticle is either pushed back with a pusher or removed with gel / nippers. After this, a second coat is applied, also very thinly. The advantage of matte gel polish is that it practically does not strip on the nails. Therefore, usually two layers are enough.

To keep the material matte, the top must also be matte! If you apply the usual glossy, then the whole meaning of the material is lost. Therefore, the manicure is fixed exclusively with a matte fixer. The question begs: why bother buying separately non-glossy gel polishes. And actually, why: there is 3 in 1 material that does not require a base or a fixative. Therefore, you should carefully read what is written on the bottle. If it is not indicated that this tool is 3 in 1, then the top is definitely needed. And necessarily matte, otherwise the manicure will not live up to expectations.
Design execution
To diversify the manicure, make it more interesting and unusual, you can combine the effect of matte and gloss on the nails. Even the modest jacket can only become more expressive and original from this. When the nails are already covered with a matte gel polish and fixative, you can draw a smile line with a glossy top and a thin brush. Under the rays of a UV lamp, the material will harden, as a result, it will turn out an original and stylish, but at the same time simple design. In exactly the same way, you can perform a drip manicure. Glossy droplets are stamped on top of the matte surface with a thin brush or dots.
