Lymphotropic therapy: indications for treatment

At the end of the twentieth century, Professor Yu. M. Levin proposed a new approach to treatment, which was called "lymphotropic therapy." The method is successfully applied today. This is a treatment method in which injections of drug solutions are injected into the lymph nodes and blood vessels concentrated near the pathological focus. The technique is most effective in comparison with traditional methods of drug administration.

The essence of the method of therapy

Lymphatic system

The lymphatic system plays the role of a biological filter in the body. Lymph nodes are located near large blood vessels throughout the body. The introduction of drugs in them allows you to achieve the maximum concentration of the substance in the affected organ.

In the usual intramuscular, intravenous or subcutaneous injection, part of the active substance of the drug after filtration settles on the membranes of skin tissue cells and capillaries. A small part of the drug reaches the lesion. In addition, the medicine affects other organs and causes side effects. The introduction of the drug into the lymph node avoids undesirable effects with the maximum effectiveness of therapy.

In order to increase the permeability of the peripheral vessel, a conductor drug (โ€œHyaluronidaseโ€, โ€œTrypsinโ€) is introduced in advance, and then the main substance (antibacterial drug, immunocorrector, etc.).

Benefits of Lymphotropic Therapy

Lymphotropic therapy

Toxins of pathological microorganisms, tissue and cell destruction products contribute to edema of the affected area, perivascular spaces infiltration. This complicates the penetration of the drug and complicates the treatment.

Compared with traditional, lymphotropic administration of drugs has several advantages:

  • The necessary concentration of the drug is stored in the affected organ throughout the day. This allows you to adjust the number of drugs downward. For example, with tuberculosis, lymphotropic therapy can significantly reduce the dosage of antibiotics.
  • Due to the introduction of the drug, the volume of lymph increases. Lymphatic drainage promotes the activation of the immune system and the body's ability to heal itself.
  • With antibiotic therapy, there is no need to take additional funds to restore the intestinal microflora and liver functions.
  • The low frequency of administration and high and rapid effectiveness allow the therapy to be carried out without detriment to the usual daily routine for a person (mainly a worker).
  • The technique is effective in a wide range of pathological conditions.

Methods of therapy: surgical

Needle insertion

Endolymphatic therapy (surgical method) - the introduction of drugs into the lymph node or lymph vessel by puncture or catheterization.

The most commonly used catheter is a lymphatic vessel located on the arm or leg. Infusion pumps (electronic infusion pumps) are used to dispense the drug, which are attached to the catheter. Devices allow you to dose the medicine strictly on time. The use of this method of lymphotropic therapy allows you to achieve longer therapeutic concentrations.

Intranodular Method

Lymphotropic administration

Endolymphatic intranodular method - the introduction of drugs using a syringe with a needle with a clamp "minivan". Before puncture of the peripheral lymph node, the needle in the polyvinyl chloride tip is bent at an angle of about 120 degrees. Thanks to the bend, it is firmly fixed, which allows for a long time microjet (1 ml of solution per hour) to inject the drug into the superficial or peripheral lymph nodes. This method of lymphotropic therapy is often used for young patients.

The big advantage of the intranodular methods is the possibility of introducing a drug solution into almost any peripheral node. The following zones are mainly used:

  • submandibular;
  • zone of the mastoid process;
  • upper sternum;
  • umbilical;
  • inguinal.

To apply the method does not need additional equipment and training. The use of elementary medical equipment (syringe dispenser and needle) makes the method simple and allows you to use it at any stage of the pathological condition for both adults and children.

To increase the permeability of the lymph nodes, the drugs Heparin and Longidaza are used as a conductor drug. Also, to enhance therapeutic efficacy, accelerate lymph flow and relieve swelling, therapy is supplemented with lymphatic drainage massage.

Indications

Pulmonary tuberculosis

Lymphotropic drug administration allows to achieve high therapeutic results in the following diseases:

  • ENT diseases: chronic tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis.
  • Dental pathological conditions: periodontitis, osteomyelitis, amyloplastoma.
  • Pathologies of the central nervous system and PNS: cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral ischemia.
  • Ophthalmic diseases: retinopathy, astigmatism, glaucoma.
  • Pathology of the respiratory system: tuberculosis, tracheitis, bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia.
  • Digestive system diseases: ulcers, hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis.
  • Pathology of the urinary system: pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis.
  • Musculoskeletal system diseases: osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernia, arthritis, arthrosis.
  • Vascular system diseases: chronic venous insufficiency, post-thrombophlebic syndrome.
  • Lesions of the skin: pyoderma, erysipelas, furunculosis.

In gynecology, lymphotropic therapy is used to resolve adhesions, treat cysts, and postoperative rehabilitation.

The technique helps to improve the immune system, and is also used as part of complex treatment for cancer.

Contraindications

Any method, no matter how good it may be, cannot be applied to all without exception. This is due to the presence of contraindications:

  • allergies to injected drugs;
  • intolerable pain during injection;
  • the presence of individual characteristics of the body.

Where is the procedure of lymphotropic drug administration

Medical clinic

The described technique is not used in conventional clinics. This is due to the need for additional equipment of the medical facility. Lymphotropic therapy is being carried out in Moscow and other large cities of Russia in paid clinics.

Treatment can begin only after a full examination, which will need to be passed in the same place. Such clinics are fully equipped with the necessary equipment and tools. You can make an appointment at any time convenient for the patient, but you will have to pay for all this.

Reviews of lymphotropic therapy

The opinion of users is no longer described by the treatment process itself, but by the clinic where it was held. Patients themselves rarely delve into the intricacies of medicine, for them the main thing is recovery.

Most reviews are related to getting rid of excruciating sensations. One of the patients reports that she constantly experienced pain in the ovary, lymphotropic therapy relieved her of suffering. But the best part is that relief came after the first injection.

Many thanks are expressed to various clinics of the mother of children with severe pathologies. It is difficult for a child to perform medical manipulations, in addition, for serious diseases, they need to be done a lot. The introduction of the drug into the lymph node significantly reduces the number of procedures. The only minus of lymphotropic therapy is that it is not carried out for free.
