The domestic market offers a lot of small swimming facilities for recreation and fishing. Since the days of the Soviet Union, one of the most popular “dishes” was the Kazanka boat, the technical characteristics of which cannot be called ideal. Nevertheless, the ship was constantly being refined, resulting in a whole line under this brand.
Modifications
The boat "Kazanka", the technical characteristics of which will be discussed later, has several models that differ in some structural details. The following modifications were put into mass production:
- Variation M ("Southerner").
- Model number 2M.
- Vessels under the index 5 (M2 / M3).
The boat Kazanka M, the technical characteristics of which are generally identical for most variations, is equipped with a duralumin alloy hull. All watercraft in question have low draft, easy entry into the glider and optimal load capacity.
Modest seaworthy indicators do not allow the use of the vessel on rough rivers. However, the Kazanka boat, the technical characteristics of which cannot be compared with a boat, is excellent for fishing and relaxing in calm ponds. The average distance of movement is not more than a kilometer from the coast, while the installation of small and medium power motors is allowed on the vessel.
History of creation
The first boat, Kazanka, whose technical characteristics improved over time, was launched in 1955. The developer and manufacturer was the S.P. Gorbunov enterprise located in Kazan.
The material used for the construction of the vessel was also used for the construction of aircraft and space ships. It is an alloy of copper, aluminum and manganese, known as duralumin. Its advantages are lightness, strength, long service life and non-exposure to corrosive processes. The boat "Kazanka M", the technical characteristics of which cannot be called ideal, gained great popularity among lovers of river recreation and fishing.
Pros and cons
A more modern model is a vessel under the index 5M2. It has several large dimensions and improved technical plan parameters. For some time, the boat was considered the longest swimming facility for fishermen in the Soviet Union. The five-meter length and construction of the skeleton made it possible to accommodate up to six passengers simultaneously.
The advantages of this boat, users include resistance to external factors, good capacity, unpretentiousness in maintenance, good maneuverability. Deficiencies are also missing. For instance:
- problem with stability in troubled water;
- weak bottom;
- spray on the stern due to the peculiarities of the keel rim;
- outboard motor power limitation.
It is worth noting that the vessel, despite all the disadvantages, has a low cost, as well as the availability of consumables.
Boat "Kazanka 5M2": technical specifications
The following are the parameters of the technical plan:
- length / width / height - 5.0 / 1.6 / 0.8 meters;
- pitching angle is seven degrees;
- curb weight - 250 kilograms;
- load indicator - 600 kg;
- passenger capacity - six people;
- maximum power of the outboard motor - 50 horsepower;
- seaworthiness in the height of the overcome wave - 75 centimeters.
The Kazanka 2M boat, the technical characteristics of which are given above, has a duralumin hull, low draft and easy access to the planing mode, which is perfectly aggregated with a low power engine.
Advanced option
The updated version of the domestic punt has a converted cockpit, increased maximum power of the power plants, transom protection from moisture, rubber seals. The internal compartment has grown due to the removal of the transom. This decision is fully justified, but there was a risk that the Kazanka 5M4 boat, whose technical specifications are an order of magnitude higher, will be flooded with water in the engine area.
The new version is equipped with a modified panoramic design of the windshield, the steering wheel is made of plastic. In addition, there was a compartment for storing small tools and fishing gear. A partition is installed between the luggage and the cockpit. The design of the watercraft allows a boat with passengers to be fully afloat for a long time with water. The control distance from the coast is up to three kilometers.
Equipment
Directly in front of the working part, a protective element in the form of an organic windshield is installed on the deck. It serves to protect passengers from water and wind. The glass consists of right and left designs. Around it there is a special profile frame, with which it is attached to the brackets. The docking points are finished with a rubber seal, which protects the part from vibration and mechanical stress.
The outboard motor is controlled by a cable system. Additional control is provided by the steering wheel, remote control and associated brake, as well as transmission units. The bottom of the boat is covered with shale (fastened with screws) from moisture-resistant plywood. A remote control circuit for motors of the Neptune or Whirlwind class is provided.
Features
Two longitudinal profiles with special sockets are attached to the slans. They are mounted a pair of folding seats. Chair frames are made of metal pipes, trimmed with soft pillows. As a finishing material, vinyl is used.
By transforming the chairs you can make a full berth for three people. If necessary - it is available to install a tarpaulin tent or similar device. Arches are mounted around the perimeter of the boat, on which the fence frame is assembled. The side elements are equipped with brackets, the rest of the fasteners are made using hooks, hinges and screws. There are safety valves on the panel. The signal mast, located on the bracket in the center of the windshield, helps to move at night. In addition, side lights and batteries are provided for their recharge.

The boat "Kazanka 5M3", the technical characteristics of which are identical to the second series, is in demand among fishermen and lovers of water trips on ponds with little excitement. Thanks to the improved design, mounted motors with power from 30 to 55 horsepower can be mounted on the vessel.
