Content
The series begins in 1974. Sonya Litvinova’s family lives happily. My father is in a “profitable” post, thanks to which relatives have a huge apartment, a summer house, a private car and other amenities. Because of the underground business, his father has problems with thieves. A man is killed right on his anniversary.
Now Sonya, her drinking mother and brother Igor are deprived of the satisfaction that the head of the family provided. Friends turn away from them, and the girl who dreamed of a career as an actress is forced to leave to study as a health worker.
Once she accidentally met a thief named Sergei Celentano. Sonya is not aware of his “profession” and falls in love with him. Seryozha himself is also crazy about the girl and secretly takes care of her. Soon, they began an affair.
Later, the guy finds out that on his orders the father of his beloved was killed and breaks up relations with her.
Soon, Sergei is arrested on charges of this crime. Although his "boss" nicknamed Nemets has the financial ability to "buy off" the guy from the term, he, contrary to thieves' law, refuses to do so. Celentano's friends talk about this to Sonya, and she steals money from the father of her wealthy classmate Dima.
When a girl brings a ransom to investigator Lebedev, he guesses where Litvinova got the money from. Having collected evidence of her guilt, the man blackmails the girl. Sergei still ends up in prison, and his beloved becomes Lebedev's mistress.
Although Sergei gives her a letter asking her to forget him, she comes to his camp and spends the night with him.
In the future, Sonya gives birth to a son, but she believes that this is Lebedev’s child, therefore, abandons him.
In the meantime, Celentano helps one of the criminals escape, for which he "bribes" him from the term. The freed hero returns to the German. It turns out that the person who regretted buying it at one time for 5,000 rubles, now stole 32,000 rubles from the common fund. The thief commits suicide, and Sergey becomes the main one.
Meanwhile, Sonechka on a country road drives a soldier in a truck. They have an accident, and the young man dies. A girl inspects the contents of the car and finds a batch of narcotic drugs. She abducts them and, together with her brother, plans to sell through Lebedev.
But the man is handing over to novice drug dealers Celentano and his people, from whom, it turns out, these drugs were stolen. Sergei orders to bring the kidnappers to the cemetery and bury him alive. However, when he sees his beloved, secretly from "colleagues", he hires a homeless person to dig a girl with his brother.
Experiencing because of what happened, the hero gets drunk. In this state, Sonya and Igor find him and kill him.
To escape, the girl goes to serve in the police, and her brother is hiding in the outback.
Time passes, Litvinova gets the title and gets a job together with Lebedev.
The case confronts her with the paratrooper Yura. Sonya sees his desire to take revenge on the murderers of his girlfriend. Therefore, she forces Lebedev to organize an escape for the guy and makes him his executioner.
Together they take revenge on their enemies. However, thieves soon learn about Litvinova. While she is in the organs, they cannot touch her. But the criminals manage to deal with their mother and brother.
Sonya talks about her son Lebedev and thus draws him to his side. Later it turns out that their child is terminally ill and, despite all their efforts, he dies.
In parallel with all these events, Litvinova has an affair with Yura. Later, the guy becomes a victim of thieves, and Sonechka herself is forced to "get out of pursuit."
To survive, she finds Dima, who now holds the post of secretary of the Komsomol city committee. With his help, the girl makes the necessary acquaintances and, becoming the mistress of an official, makes a career in the KGB.
Using the new power, she ruthlessly cracked down on enemies.
Closer to the finale, Lebedev arrives at Litvinova. From him, a woman learns that she once mixed up children, and her baby is alive and well. Lebedev found him and adopted him. However, having seen his son, Sonechka realizes that Celentano was his father. She takes it to her.
On the day of the main crime control operation, the thieves adjust the accident to the heroine and it is not known whether she survived. In the finals, the tapes show that Sergey is alive, however, how his fate will develop further remains a mystery.
Project actors
Before you start reviewing the reviews of the TV series “Defiant,” you should find out who starred in it.
The role of the main character was played by a novice actress - Sonia Metelitsa. This is her first role in Russian cinema. Prior to that, she mainly starred in Polish projects.
Celentano was played by Sergei Tkachuk (The Quiet Flows the Don, Life and Adventures of the Bear of the Japanese), and the vile Lebedev - Alexander Pashkov (Vasilisa, Run, Don't Look Back!).
The images of other heroes of the project got used to: Petr Kasatiev (Sonya’s brother), Alexey Kirsanov (Jura), Kirill Varaksa (Dima), Elena Rufanova (Sonya’s mother) and others.
Reviews from critics of the TV series "Defiant" (2017)
Despite the PR, most critics did not even comment on this project. This situation is quite natural, because this is a television series, and thousands of them are annually filmed and there is simply no way to physically devote reviews to each of them. Moreover, "Unruly" was never able to stand out against the backdrop of the same type of crime dramas.
At the same time, pretty scanty information about this project was presented on most movie sites and forums. In separate articles there are excerpts from interviews with crew members, and they, as is customary in such cases, mainly praised their work.
Spectacular reviews of the series "Defiant" (2017)
But the usual audience was much more talkative. More than a thousand comments are devoted to the picture on only one KinoTeatr website.
But on "KinoPoisk" reviews on the TV series "Unruly" are not so numerous. But there the project is rated at 5.510 points out of 10.
What is wrong with the plot?
If we consider more carefully what the audience writes about the picture, then most of the responses are negative. Most of all went exactly to the content of the episodes of the series “Unruly” (2017). Reviews about them are the most eloquent.
Viewers agree that the first 4 episodes are really interesting, but the plot of all subsequent episodes is absurd. Some commentators admit that, having seen what kind of nonsense the project turns after the 4th series, they abandoned it to watch.
Perhaps such dramatic changes can be explained. As you know, when funds are allocated for a television project, at first several pilot episodes are shot on them. They are shown to test audiences and producers. Based on their reaction, a decision is made: to close the project or continue to withdraw.
If you choose the latter option, then certain corrections can often be made to the series, often contradicting the original scenario. In the case of “The Unruly”, probably 4 episodes were originally shot. And then it was decided to change the focus of the plot.
Only in this way can we explain the sudden change in the character of the main characters and the mass of plot inconsistencies.
Rebellious or unreasonable: reviews of the audience about the main character
Despite all the shortcomings of the script of the movie "Defiant" (2017), the series managed to collect good reviews. Most of all this is the merit of the leading actors.
So, for example, Sonechka, as a heroine, the majority did not like. At the same time, viewers admitted that, despite the obvious antipathy to Litvinova, they simply could not take their eyes off actress Sofia Metelitsa. Her unusual touching beauty captivated not only the main characters, but also the viewers.
At the same time, the majority of commentators had many complaints about heroin. First of all, this is that she herself is guilty of the death of people dear to her, except her father. The criminals offered her peace several times, however, each time she declared war on them, and contrary to both Soviet and thieves laws.
It is paradoxical that the Rebel herself was morally worse than her enemies. Everything that she achieved in life was done through bed, and, Sonechka did not care whose family or life she was destroying.
Even if you discard her immoral behavior, it is worth considering that the girl was not shy about breaking the law and harming the innocent, if it was a question of her interests. So, she stole drugs and planned to put them into circulation, knowing about the possible consequences.
And after all this, her resentment against thieves who were going to punish her for the cause looks rather satirical.
Paradoxically, at every stage in life, the heroine was given a chance to find happiness. However, each time she, blinded by ambition, missed him. And even in the finals, having acquired a lost son, and having learned that he was from a loved one, Sonechka did not draw conclusions, for which she received a well-deserved punishment.
Which of the characters of the project was most liked by the audience
After considering the leading woman and her heroine, it is worthwhile to find out other reviews about the actors of the series “Unruly” (2017).
The film helped once again attract the attention of such artists as Sergey Tkachuk and Alexander Pashkov. Although both play characters with a dubious reputation, their characters evoke more sympathy than Sonechka.
In separate reviews, some viewers admit that they started watching the project only because of personal sympathy for Tkachuk. In other reviews, it is noted that this artist, after the role of Bear Jap, quite often began to appear in the role of criminals.
At the same time, his hero - Celentano causes a lot of sympathy and sympathy. Moreover, some commentators felt sorry for him because he "fell in love with such a monster."
As for the character of this character, the majority agrees that he is a fairly holistic nature. Having grown up in an orphanage, Sergey chose a thieves' law for himself and remained faithful to him almost always.
Sonya was his only weakness, which he realized and tried to fight her. By the way, in the series, a parallel is drawn between the love of Celentano and the German. Both lost their heads at different times, but Sergei did not betray his convictions.
The second favorite among the audience was Lebedev. Many in their reviews call him the most prescribed character. Unlike Sergei, he is not so honest and courageous. However, he compensates for these shortcomings by resourcefulness.
Unlike other characters, this one perfectly understands the essence of the laws of society and the criminal world and the absence of a fundamental difference between them.
Like Celentano, Lebedev loves Sonya, as much as he can afford. And the fact that he constantly tries to betray her is the essence of his nature, he is not able to live in a different way.
The paratrooper Jura did not particularly like the audience. Some even noted that he was an extra character and had no effect on the plot. But Dima, who is in love, is sincerely sorry.
He dreams of Sonya all his life and is ready to do a lot for her. However, the girl only exploits him.
Will there be a sequel?
No sooner had the project ended, how was the information about the upcoming sequel. How true these rumors are are unknown.
The food for them was given by the open finale, which became the cause of controversy in the reviews of the TV series “Unruly”. What the project ended with is really not clear, since the audience is not shown whether the heroine died or not. It is also unclear how Sergey survived, whether he knows about his son, and what his role is in the final accident.
The heated debate in the comments is largely related to the appropriateness of the second season. Indeed, in fact, Sonya reached her land. If she survived, her fate would have developed: would she go looking for a new lover to pursue a career further? Or, learning about Celentano, would you try to kill him or return him? Or maybe she would fool Dima again?
All of these plot development options are unlikely to interest the audience. And the fate of Sergei does not bode well. He lost his beloved, but he is not able to give anything to his son. So, probably, the open finale is the best that the screenwriters could come up with for this complicated and absurd story.
