What does the word “headset” mean in technology? Speaking in the simplest and most understandable language, the mobile headset is a headset complete with a microphone.
In total, two main types can be distinguished:
- Wired headset. This type of headset is connected to the smartphone through a special 3.5 mm jack.
- Wireless bluetooth headset. This gadget gives a cleaner sound through double digitization. Recently, this device has been very popular, and there is nothing surprising in it: easy and quick connection to a mobile device, the absence of ever-confusing wires, free hands - all this attracts many smartphone owners. The only drawback of this device is that it requires its own recharging.
Headset types by headphone type
By type of headphones, you can distinguish these types of headsets:
- Waybill. In this type of headset, the headphones are fixed thanks to a special arc on the head or a special mount located behind the ears. Despite its functionality and convenience, this gadget takes up a lot of space in a bag and pockets.
- Plug-in. The most common type of mobile headset, which takes up little space and gives good sound quality. Headphones in this headset are popularly called “shells” or “buttons”.
- Intracanal. They are “vacuums”, they are “plugs”. They penetrate deeply into the auricle, making the sound "isolated". It is not recommended to listen to them at full volume, as this can seriously damage your hearing.
Virtual reality headset
Now we would like to tell you what a virtual reality headset is. The main element of this gadget is the lenses, which is why it is also called virtual reality glasses. Some also call it the "virtual reality helmet", but this is not entirely correct, since VR screens have video screens installed, and the computer is the primary source. In the case of the gadget being discussed, the primary source is a smartphone installed in the headset.
