Saratov is a Russian city located in the European part of the country on the right bank of the Volga River 858 km from Moscow. It has more than one and a half hundred institutions for children, helping to receive ordinary and advanced secondary education. One of them is the East European Lyceum. In Saratov, it exists not so long ago, a little over twenty years. On September 1, 1997, he opened his doors for students. But during this time, the lyceum has established itself well, introducing innovative training programs. During this time, he won twice at all-Russian school competitions and was awarded the presidential grant for a million rubles the same number of times.

Schoolchildren are not taught in the East European Lyceum of Saratov from the first, but only from the 8th to the 11th grade, which is why the number of students and teachers is small. At the moment, there are 13 training rooms, an assembly room and two sports halls. For the physical development of students in the courtyard of the school there is an equipped playground and a football field.
The fruitful educational process is facilitated by modern technology. The property of the institution is two computer classes, laptops, interactive whiteboards, multimedia projectors. There is a library in the East European Lyceum of Saratov, in the arsenal of which there are about six thousand copies of books. Medical assistance to children and monitoring of their health is carried out in the medical office, meals for students in the buffet.
Achievements of pupils and graduates
The Japanese theater with the name Asahi, which has been operating at this general education institution for a decade, is considered part of the process of multifaceted development of children. He not only helps his students to master acting and get acquainted with the culture of the East. One of the areas of this program is the study of the Japanese language. The theater successfully presented performances in the capital and St. Petersburg, went on tour in the Baltic states. Some of the students at the end of the lyceum actively continued their acting career.
Pupils of the institution won and won prizes at the All-Russian Olympiads and competitions in social studies, computer science and other disciplines, took part in prestigious conferences.
