Polystyrene films, both oriented and ordinary, from which the packaging for cakes is pressed, have a thickness of 400-700 microns. At the same time, the mechanical properties of the container are ensured by a shape having stiffeners, which, in turn, make the cake maker more beautiful.

Food polystyrene (PS) is resistant to acids contained in food products, it is chemically passive, does not emit any substances into the environment, which guarantees its complete harmlessness. However, its quality is also a drawback. It does not decompose (like other used disposable containers) and gradually clogs the environment. The only way out of the situation is a well-organized system for recycling polymers.

Another advantage that plastic packaging for cakes has is low cost. The buyer of the final product pays for both the contents and the container, which means that you can please him at a lower price.

The fact is that not every polymer withstands strong cooling without losing its properties, and cardboard boxes get wet when moisture gets on them. Plastic packaging for cakes can be frost-resistant, which makes it simply indispensable in conditions of low temperatures created in freezers.

Apparently, packaging for cakes made of transparent polystyrene has a great future, because today it simply does not have an alternative.
