Ian Golenda biography

Golenda spent one season in “Rostov”, having played 30 matches and scoring six goals, but then it was decided to rent it to “Tom”, as the player was clearly not suitable for “Rostov”. In “Tomi” he scored three goals in 21 matches, he did not at all convince the club management of his own need, so the contract with him was not extended. And in the summer of 2014, Jan Golenda returned to his homeland, signing an agreement with Victoria from Pilsen.

Performances at Victoria

Golenda signed a long-term contract with Victoria for four years, and two of them worked well for the football player. He played 36 matches, scored five goals in them, but still his age began to affect. Therefore, in the summer of 2016, Jan was leased to Bohemians, where the player played 11 matches and scored two goals. When the rental period came to an end, Golenda returned to Victoria, but there was no longer any place for him. Therefore, in January 2017, it was sold for 250 thousand euros at Dukla.

What's next?

Ian Golenda signed a contract with the new club for two and a half years, that is, the document will expire in the summer of 2019. In Dukla, which plays with one pure striker, he will have to fight for a place at the base with serious contenders, including Nigerian talent Peter Olayinka and budding Frenchman Jean-David Bogel. Moreover, in addition to Golenda, the club in winter already acquired a young Czech Patrick Brandner and a very young Nigerian Emmanuel Edmond. So the competition for a place at the base will be very high and Jan will have to try to break into the main team.
