The film "Arrhythmia", the reviews of which are mentioned in this article, is a resounding success for director Boris Khlebnikov. Many film critics call the film one of the best Russian films of the year.
The plot of the picture
The film "Arrhythmia", reviews of which are mostly positive, is a well-known Russian drama. In the center of the story is a talented doctor Oleg, who works on an ambulance.
In the film "Arrhythmia" the plot is largely based on the fact that the main character is constantly racing from one patient to another. At the same time, he knows and always remembers that his presence, his knowledge and skills can save a personâs life. Therefore, he is trying with his work to make the world at least a little better.
Often he tries to correct the situation when it is impossible in principle to do this. Moreover, everything else, he believes, can wait until better times. And this is a career, family, personal life and interests.
It turns out that while Oleg was saving other people's lives, his own was flying downhill. The wife despaired of getting attention and care from him, decides to file for divorce. At the same time, a new boss appears in the hospital with whom Oleg cannot find a common language. He is not interested in saving lives, only statistics and the implementation of strict rules, requirements and regulations are important to him.
Oleg is in a hurry to save people, rushing along the streets to change everything and catch the challenges. One of the main questions that appear after viewing this tape: what will be easier - to save others or oneself.
Boris Khlebnikov
For the director Boris Khlebnikov, the film Arrhythmia (2017) is not his first success. He is a graduate of the cinema department of VGIK. At the dawn of his career, he shot two short films with Alexei Popogrebsky. They were called "Passenger" and "Sly Frog."
He made his full-length feature film in 2003 with the family drama Koktebel. He also shot it together with Popogrebsky. This is a story about a father and son who go to the sea. Their path is not easy. First in a freight car, then in a car with a trucker. Along the way, they stop at random people, meeting on their way both good and evil fellow travelers.
They come from Moscow, where they have nothing left. Mother died, father drank everything from grief. Near the sea, they hope to start a new life. A father dreams of regaining his lost faith in himself, and his son seeks for a specific village of Koktebel, in which, according to stories, a strong wind always blows and an albatross hovers in the sky.
In 2006, Khlebnikov made the melodramatic comedy "Free Swimming" about the young Lenya, who is trying to get a job after he was fired from the factory. He tries himself as an assistant seller of shoes in the local market, the plasterer, in the end, is in the road repair team. It is interesting that already in this film, in the title role, Khlebnikov starred Yatsenko, becoming one of his favorite actors.
Among Khlebnikovâs successful films, the tragicomedy Crazy Help, the drama Long Happy Life, should be noted. In 2015, he shot the television series Concerned or Love of Evil about an ambitious journalist who leaves Yekaterinburg for Moscow in search of happiness and self-realization.
