The food industry in Russia today has become one of the leading sectors of the national economy. Thousands of enterprises of such specialization work in the country. Sverdlovsk Region is no exception in this regard. The agro-industrial complex of this region is well developed. One of the largest livestock enterprises in the region is the Reftinskaya poultry farm.

This poultry complex is located near the small town of Asbest. The environmental cleanliness of the products is, of course, one of the advantages of the enterprise. A bit of history
The Reftinskaya poultry farm was founded in 1981. At that time, the company purchased feed for chickens on the side. Later, in 2001, the factory management decided to rent a large plot of land in the Kamyshlovsky district. This was done in order to independently grow crops and process them into feed for poultry.
In 2008, the Asbestovsky livestock complex specializing in cattle breeding also became part of the factory. Currently, thus, the company has the opportunity to supply to the market not only poultry and eggs, but also milk. Also at the complex owned by the factory, breeding is carried out with the aim of selling producers to other agricultural companies and individuals.
In 2011, the Reftinskaya poultry farm became a joint-stock company. Its director at the moment is N.V. Toporkov. Like some other food industry enterprises in the Sverdlovsk region, Reftinskaya is assigned to strategically important facilities whose main purpose is to ensure the food security of the population in the region.
Project capacity
In the first years after the opening, the Reftinskaya poultry farm did not produce too many products. In the 80s of the last century, its design capacity was only about 13-15 thousand tons of poultry meat. In the new millennium, the factory management has developed large-scale programs for its development and modernization. New modern equipment was purchased for the plant. In addition, new poultry breeding technologies have been introduced. Thanks to the measures taken, to date, the capacity of the complex has increased to 60-80 thousand tons per year.

The complex's assortment by 2017 includes:
- broiler chicken meat;
- offal and semi-finished products;
- sausages and smoked meats;
- delicacies
- dumplings and canned food;
- milk.

Milk Grace LLC
The main products of the factory are, of course, chicken, offal and semi-finished products from it, as well as eggs. But, as already mentioned, this company supplies the market with milk. The implementation of this product allows the factory to further improve its economic performance. The main partner in the supply of such products at the plant is Milk Grace LLC. It is at this enterprise that the packaging and processing of Reftin milk is carried out.
Economic performance and the state of the factory today
For several years now, the company has been demonstrating a steady increase in production. So, in 2013, the factory's net profit amounted to 40.68 million rubles, in 2014 - 45.83 million rubles, in 2015 - 69.28 million rubles. Thus, Reftinskaya can be considered a fully profitable enterprise. However, things at this factory, unfortunately, are still not going as smoothly as we would like.
The problems of the enterprise are connected, first of all, with management changes. The current director of the Reftinskaya poultry farm, N. V. Toporkov, has repeatedly been criticized by his predecessor, V. Valchuk. The latter, for example, sent documents to the Minister of Agriculture of the Sverdlovsk Region attesting to the artificial overstatement of profits at the enterprise.
Later, the ex-director himself was accused of organizing supplies to the factory of low-quality feed at inflated prices in order to benefit personally. The criminal prosecution of V. Valchuk was stopped only in connection with the amnesty.
In 2017, the enterprise was included in the program for the implementation of the Sverdlovsk region for a year. Such a decision of the region’s leadership caused dissatisfaction of some deputies. The people's representatives had questions, first of all, in connection with the declared value of the enterprise of 700 million rubles. Many deputies considered this figure too underestimated.
HR policy
Despite the difficulties, Reftinskaya Poultry OJSC continues to develop. The company constantly implements programs aimed at increasing labor productivity and ultimately profitability. So, for example, in the factory, within the framework of personnel policy, a new project is being introduced, aimed at motivating workers and employees. The main objectives of the program is to eliminate such shortcomings as:
- the prevalence of negative relationships in the team;
- lack of a well-developed promotion system.
The following measures are taken to eliminate these problems at the factory:
- expansion of socio-psychological factors in stimulating staff;
- development of a career management system.
Product Reviews
The opinion on the poultry meat supplied to the market of the Sverdlovsk region and on semi-finished products of this producer has been mixed among consumers. So, there are both almost enthusiastic and extremely negative reviews about the plant's products. Chicken dumplings produced at the factory , for example, praise almost all housewives, without exception. Many believe that in this price category they are the most delicious of all sold in local stores. Reftinsky dumplings are liked by consumers, first of all, because it’s chicken minced meat, and not soy, that they are molded in. When cooking, this product does not boil at all.
Negative reviews about the products of such an enterprise as Reftinskaya poultry farm are associated primarily with its freshness. This is especially true for chicken. Many buyers complain, for example, about the rotten smell of purchased carcasses supplied by the factory, or necks. Moreover, sellers of stores assure that such low-quality products come directly from the enterprise itself. Many consumers believe that the factory from time to time simply fakes the release date of meat and offal.
