Childhood and youth
Basov Vladimir Vladimirovich was born in 1923, on July 28, in the city of Urazov, Voronezh province. The boy's dad was a commander in the Red Army. On duty, the Basov family often had to move from one city to another. In 1931, Vladimir's father died.
In 1941, in the summer, Basov visited VGIK to learn about the rules of admission to a theater university. In 1945, on February 23, being part of the assault brigade, Vladimir Vladimirovich ensured the capture of the German defense point.
