Initial stage of formation
After graduation, Konstantin Murzenko entered the medical school and successfully graduated from it, although in the learning process he realized that he did not see himself in medicine. Being at a crossroads in professional choice, the young man decides to continue his education at the Faculty of Journalism at St. Petersburg State University. Due to financial difficulties, the future artisan is forced to combine the studies and the work of the paramedic of the ambulance station. This was only the beginning of his long journey to the big movie. For his directorial debut, the author walked a long period, forming a creative vision. He began to work in big movies in the 90s, his addictions gradually formed. Murzenko admits that both his high classical cinema and the American and French noir influenced his style of writing. Such addictions did not cause internal contradictions in the director, but prompted them to create their own project.
The film "April" is positioned as an average crime drama, a movie about real life - social, civil, sensual. The director did not try to assert himself by creating the tape, he tried to make a normal high-quality film, which was subsequently elevated to the status of a cult.
