Regions of Russia - their diversity and features

The regions of Russia are territorial objects, of which there are 46 in total. Often, the territories are also referred to them - there are nine of them in Russia. In total, the country has 85 territorial entities, each of which is distinguished by its climate and many other features.

Krasnoyarsk region

If we talk about the regions of Russia, it is impossible not to mention the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is located in the Siberian Federal District. Its administrative center (or capital) is the city of Krasnoyarsk. The land was formed in 1934, December 7th. It is located next to the Irkutsk region and Yakutia.

Speaking of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, it is worth mentioning its climate. It is sharply continental, it is characterized by obvious temperature fluctuations observed during the year. It is very heterogeneous, and this is due to the large extent of the edge in the meridional direction. On its territory, mainly three climatic zones stand out - temperate, subarctic and arctic. In the south, the period in which the temperature is above ten degrees is about 110-120 days, and in the north - 40 days. It should be noted that, despite the harsh climate here, the south of the region has very hot summers and moderately severe winters. There are very favorable conditions for placing recreation centers, sanatoriums and resorts - after all, in this area there are a lot of healing springs.

The Russian Federation is a state with a special administrative-territorial division. It consists of regions, territories, republics, and autonomous okrugs. There are also special cities with the status of federal significance. There are only three of them - recently added Sevastopol, which proudly regained its well-deserved title, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Not so long ago, namely until March 17, 2014, 83 entities were part of the Russian Federation. These are the regions of Russia, the region and all of the above. But not so long ago, two more entities were added to Russia - the aforementioned hero city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea, which had lost its autonomous status. It should be noted that many confuse the concept of region and region, and also do not quite understand their difference. But it should be said that there are no special differences. After all, all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are equal and integral parts of one large state and are subject to the same laws.

Cultural capital

As already mentioned, Russia has three cities of federal significance . Leningrad region on its territory has one of these cities. This area is located in the northwestern part of the country. It occupies about 0.5% of the total area of โ€‹โ€‹the Russian Federation, which earned itself the 39th place in the ranking of the country in scale. In the north, the Leningrad region borders with Karelia, in the east - with the Vologda region, in the southeast - with Novgorod, and in the south - with Pskov.

It should be noted the attention of St. Petersburg. It is a city with a great history. He has very extensive external relations, it is in St. Petersburg that various events and cultural days of other countries are held. Needless to say - by 2011, St. Petersburg already had 79 twin cities.

Krasnodar region

Speaking about the region of Russia and its territory, one cannot ignore the Krasnodar Territory. This is the exact opposite of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is located in the very south of the Russian Federation and is washed by the Sea of โ€‹โ€‹Azov and the Black Sea. In the Krasnodar Territory, the temperate continental climate is combined with a semi-dry Mediterranean and humid subtropical. It is in this area that mild winters and hot summers. The region is very popular among vacationers in warm time. Take, for example, the famous Anapa, Sochi or Gelendzhik, where thousands of tourists come annually to spend their holidays on the so-called Russian Riviera.
