Chronic inflammation of the prostate gland is caused, first of all, by the development of various diseases of infectious etiology. However, the ailment can also occur against the background of sexual excesses or, conversely, abstinence.
Prostate massage is necessary in order to improve blood circulation and remove the lingering and decomposing pathological secretion from the affected lobules of the gland. The procedure should be started after the relief of acute symptoms of the disease, normalization of temperature and the acquisition of transparency of the second portion of urine. Prostate massage, started early and vigorously, can trigger an exacerbation of the disease and the development of epididymitis.
For the procedure, the patient is better to take a horizontal position. It is recommended to lay it on the right side with knees bent and pressed to the body. A knee-elbow position is also allowed. In this position, the muscles surrounding the gland relax as much as possible, and the abdominal organs are also pushed up.
Prostate massage. Equipment
The procedure is performed with the full condition of the bladder. Thus, it is easier to bring the gland closer, in addition, with a strong stream of urine leaving after it, the squeezed pathological secretion is removed.
A rubber glove is put on the right hand. The index finger, smeared with petroleum jelly, is slowly inserted into the rectum. Massage of the prostate (lobules of the gland) in the first two procedures is performed only by a planar surface, sliding movement. A rough exposure can provoke discomfort in the patient in the form of tingling, pain in the urethra and anus, giving to the lower back, sharp and sudden urges to urinate. Massage of the prostate is carried out by movements directed to the excretory ducts of the gland.
The following procedures allow light pressure with a gradual increase in exposure.
How to massage the prostate
The dosage of movements is selected, first of all, taking into account the sensations of the patient. The procedure, as a rule, does not cause pain. The force of pressure is determined by the consistency of the prostate. For the soft gland, the pressure should be negligible. If the consistency is dense - more vigorous movements are allowed. In the case of alternating sections, the pressure corresponds to each of them.
The inflammatory process is most often localized on the outer edges of the prostate gland. These areas need special attention. Massage is carried out every other day. The duration of the procedure is no more than thirty to sixty seconds.
After the massage, the patient should urinate. Then, the bladder and canal are washed with a weak consistency potassium permanganate solution . This is necessary in order to prevent their infection with an released pathological secret.
In the course of therapy, a periodic examination of the discharge of the prostate should be performed. In the absence of secret bacteria, the presence of an insignificant number of leukocytes and an increase in lecithin bodies, the procedure is suspended first for three, and then for ten days. At the end of each break, a secret study is performed. In case of a favorable analysis result, the massage is stopped.
As practice shows, the best results are observed during procedures for catarrhal prostatitis. Slower massage gives in to the interstitial form of the disease in the presence of significant pathological changes. It is very problematic to achieve favorable results with inductive prostatitis, accompanied by persistent organic disorders. A temporary improvement from the massage occurs when exposed to the flaccid atonic gland with cavities, from which the outflow of secretion is difficult.
