One of such skin phenomena is adipose tissue, which, thank God, can be eliminated with surgical intervention. It is about the removal of wen with a laser that will be discussed in this article.

Laser removal of wen is one of the safest and most effective ways to say goodbye to a problem tumor, which minimizes the risk of re-emergence, as well as the likelihood of edema, inflammatory processes or infiltrates.

What is a wen? Is it worth it to get rid
What is colloquially called "wen", in the language of medicine is called a lipoma. Lipoma is one of the most common benign skin formations (tumors). The pathological spread of fat cells leads to the appearance of this neoplasm. However, the reasons that trigger this process are still unknown.
Formation
A lipoma is formed on any part of the body where there is adipose tissue. This procedure is done not only on the body. Many people dream of laser removal of wen on the face. As inappropriately, these formations pop up now on the eyelid, now under the eye, then on the bridge of the nose. The benefits of laser removal of wen
For a century, for example, it is rather difficult to carry out this procedure, but the laser beam has a high accuracy of exposure, which allows not only to get rid of hard-to-reach lipomas, but also not to touch the healthy tissues around them. As a result of such measures, the tumor is husked together with the capsule.
Carbon dioxide lasers used in surgery perform two tasks simultaneously - elimination of pathological tissues, as well as coagulation and disinfection of the skin. This approach allows for faster healing and reduces the risk of side effects and complications.

Laser disadvantages
Despite the large number of advantages and positive customer reviews, the laser is also not an ideal tool.
Firstly, if the lipoma is quite large in size or located deep in the tissues, it will only be possible to get rid of it safely and fully using surgical excision.
Secondly, some experts believe, based on their personal experience, that relapses after removal of lipomas with a laser are much more likely to occur than when using the previously used surgical method. Unfortunately, there are no certain statistics that would confirm information about such results, but if you read the reviews and comments of specialists and their clients, you can find that not everything is so smooth.
How is the operation
Removing wen with a laser on the head, face or body can only be done by an experienced oncologist surgeon or a general plastic surgeon who specializes in working with neoplasms.
If the size of the lipoma is small, the removal procedure is performed under local anesthesia. In this case, the external skin is dissected using a surgical laser that coagulates (“seals”) the damaged blood vessels. After that, the skin is carefully spread apart, the surgeon grasps the capsule of the wen with a clamp and slightly lifts it.
Then there is a husking of the lipoma, in which not only the capsule is destroyed, but also all residual fragments that could cause a relapse. Next, the edges of the wound are sutured with a cosmetic suture and a gauze bandage is applied to the surface.
Surgery takes from 15 to 40 minutes, depending on the location and size of the lipomas. Usually, after such a procedure, the patient can calmly return to business in his daily life without any excesses. But, as medical practice shows, there are exceptions in the form of separate complex cases when one or two days of bed rest may be required.
Possible complications, contraindications and side effects
Factors that exclude the possibility of laser removal of lipomas are generally general surgical (that is, their presence guarantees complete release from any surgical measures):
- menstruation;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- herpes, inflammatory skin phenomena in the area subject to surgical intervention;
- immunodeficiency;
- diabetes.
In addition, the technique for removing adipose tissue with a laser is not used when working with large lipomas. In this case, it is better to use the technique of surgical excision.
Regarding possible side effects and complications, the most common problem after performing this operation is considered to be a relapse of lipoma. It occurs when the wen and its residues are not completely removed (often this indicates the incompetence of the surgeon). Particularly difficult cases flow into lipomatosis, a condition characterized by the appearance of new adipose tissue due to an incorrectly removed previous one.
Few people will like this outcome, but if you entrust the operation to a specialist with a good reputation, the likelihood of relapse is reduced to zero.
