White spots on the body

Round or oval-shaped white spots on the body indicate that a person is sick with vitiligo. Previously, this disease was not very common, but recently it is becoming more and more common. Both women and men at any age suffer from it, but most often vitiligo affects young people under the age of 20 years.

Of course, when there are white spots on the palms, on the hands, this cannot but upset, especially when it comes to young people. In addition to discomfort due to the appearance, vitiligo poisons life mentally, developing various inferiority complexes in patients with it.

Vitiligo is a skin area lacking a protective skin pigment - melanin. The skin in the place where the stain is located can no longer tan. This means that it will always not only differ in tone from the color of the rest of the body, but will also be unable to protect itself from the rays of the sun. Vitiligo patients are not recommended to appear in the sun without special sunblock with light filters.

The cause of this disease remains a mystery to this day, although there are several versions explaining its occurrence. According to one version, white spots on the body appear as a result of disturbances in the pituitary gland. Other doctors disagree, and talk about the autoimmune nature of the disease. And others say that the cause is thyroid, adrenal gland, or gonad disease.

But the bottom line is that white spots on the body remain white, and it is still not clear what exactly contributes to their appearance, and how to properly treat this disease.

In this regard, we can advise those who have vitiligo spots - do not panic, and, of course, do not tear off the hair on your head. Just in case, you should go to the doctor. Give blood for analysis, let them check the number of red blood cells, and the work of hormones in the body. If something is revealed - begin to be treated, and if not - then calm down.

However, some people are not comfortable with white spots on their hands, and they try to get rid of them by all means. For this, PUVA therapy is used, treatment with ointments based on corticosteroids and herbs, as well as irradiation with ultraviolet rays with the preliminary use of photosensitizing drugs. A visit to the Dead Sea helps a lot, many serious skin diseases are cured here . Here, as in Mecca, a mass of desperate people flocking, suffering from neurodermatitis, psoriasis and other diseases. As a rule, ninety percent of sick people are cured in the waters of the Dead Sea.

From vitiligo stains, only one drug, Melagenin, is known today. This medicine is made from a human placenta, the effect of which is enhanced by calcium chloride. The human placenta is taken immediately after the next birth. It has been known for a long time about its anti-aging therapeutic effect, and now it has become known that the placenta also helps to get rid of vitiligo.

Americans recommend ultraviolet radiation as a treatment, immediately stipulating that it will take a very long time to be irradiated. How long - they do not specify. Russian doctors suggested adding B vitamins to ultraviolet light. Apparently they hint at the neurocause of vitiligo, since vitamins of this group contribute to the normalization of the entire nervous system. But when the cause of the disease is not clear, why not prescribe vitamin A? Everyone knows that specifically one of the forms of this vitamin - retinoic acid - is responsible for the health of the skin. And of the entire large group of vitamin B, only B-12 and B-6 act on our skin. What the hell is not joking, if you properly feed our skin with useful vitamins, maybe due to this at least there will be no new white spots on the body. Of course, in vitamin therapy, medical logic is also evident: when there is nothing to treat, we prescribe vitamins.

And the last one. So that the spots do not spoil the appearance, you can mask them with tanning products, you only need to choose among high-quality cosmetics. Such products usually hold well on the skin and are not washed off immediately, but gradually, without causing any discomfort.
