To date, there are 3 main groups of adult health . Each of them is distinguished not only by the condition of the patient, but also by the frequency of his dispensary observation.
Adult Health Groups: Classification
The need to create a complete separation of patients into various categories arose almost immediately after the appearance of the medical examination. The fact is that it involves a different number of studies, depending on what kind of disease a person has.
Currently, there are 3 main groups of adult health. Each of them is characterized by certain criteria indicating the presence or absence of certain diseases.
First health group
This includes completely healthy people who do not suffer from any kind of chronic non-infectious diseases, and also do not have a large number of risk factors for their development.
This population health group has the most favorable prognosis for later life. The fact is that it is chronic noncommunicable diseases that most often become the cause of the development of severe conditions.
As a result of the significant expansion of diagnostic capabilities, today there are not so many representatives of the first group of adult health. This is due to the fact that with age, a sufficiently large number of risk factors for the occurrence of certain chronic diseases accumulate in a person.
Second health group
What is characteristic of the second group of adult health? To her, as well as to the first, people who have no chronic non-communicable diseases are referred to. Moreover, they have a fairly high risk of their acquisition in the very near future. In addition, they have several factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases.
During the accumulation of risk factors , minor morphological changes may gradually occur. Ultimately, they lead to the acquisition of one or another chronic disease, which can no longer be completely cured even by the most modern medicines. As a result, the patient passes from the second group of adult health to the third. This category is the most extensive.
Third health group
This includes people with a high risk of developing diseases of the cardiovascular system, as well as the presence of a chronic non-infectious pathology. This category of population is the most extensive after the age of 40 years. The fact is that with age, sooner or later, any person starts the aging process. This leads to morphological changes. As a result, various organs begin to suffer very soon. All this leads to a gradual decompensation of the activity of various body systems. Currently, this health group is quite common. For the follow-up of patients included in it, you have to spend the greatest amount of money.
Health groups in adults: medical examination
The presence or absence of chronic diseases determines how often the patient should visit certain specialists. In many ways, this is why the division into adult health groups was introduced. Classification helps doctors to properly conduct dispensary records. For each category of citizens, a different level and frequency of medical examinations is provided .
About the first and second groups
Patients from the first group of adult health can visit doctors only 1 time per year and take only standard tests. In the event that as a result of such a commission they do not reveal any chronic non-communicable diseases or additional factors to their formation, they remain in the same category.
As for the second group of adult health, those who belong to it can also be examined only 1 time per year, but at the same time they need a more serious examination. Its volume will depend on which particular risk factors the patient already has. The fact is that the initial detection of chronic noncommunicable diseases is inherent in this particular group of adult health. The characteristic of this category of patients does not imply the presence of diseases, so that after the detection of an ailment, a person automatically goes into the next group of health.
The presence of a chronic disease is sufficient reason to visit a doctor not 1, but at least 2 times a year. In this case, you must pass the appropriate tests. Thanks to them, the doctor will see how actively the chronic pathological process proceeds, as well as whether he currently affects the functioning of a particular organ. In the end, the doctor will understand whether it is necessary to carry out any serious treatment measures or is it quite enough regular prophylaxis.
About the third group
Patients from the third group of adult health can be examined more often than 2 times a year. The frequency of observations depends on the severity of the chronic pathological process. Moreover, for patients with certain diseases, according to the follow-up, it is recommended to undergo inpatient treatment 1-2 times a year.
About children
The health groups of adults and children vary widely. The fact is that kids are usually divided not into 3, but into 5 categories. This is due to the great attention to the child population. So adult health groups and their characteristics are not applicable to minor patients.
The first group is characterized by the absence of any diseases or deviations in the child. Such a baby can sometimes be sick with an acute form of a pathology, but at the time of examination he does not have it. In addition, such a child should have a fairly high level of body resistance.
The second group of children's health includes children who do not have any chronic diseases, but who have minor deviations. An example would be maternal complications. At the same time, these deviations have absolutely no effect on the childβs functional abilities.
Children from the third group of health have one or another chronic disease. Moreover, this category of small patients is characterized by its full compensation. That is, despite the presence of an ailment, the child does not experience special problems with normal loads.
If we talk about the fourth group of children's health, then it includes those babies who have quite serious chronic ailments that are in the stage of subcompensation. That is, the child has opportunities to maintain full functional activity, however, at the same time, his organs and systems are forced to work, constantly straining, which ultimately leads to morphological changes and further deterioration of activity. As a result, such a child has to be transferred to the next group of health.
In the fifth group in children, it is customary to include those babies who are owners of a serious chronic pathology. Moreover, to transfer to this category, decompensation of the activity of one or another body should also be observed. Such a child definitely needs serious medical attention.
Doctors have to pay the greatest attention in terms of clinical examination, naturally, to children from the 3rd, 4th and 5th groups.
