He began his acting career at the age of 25, when in 2001 he starred in a cameo role in the film The Garbage Man. This melodrama was Gusev’s first attempt to try himself in cinema. Around the same time, Dmitry began to play in the theater.
In 2002, there was another episodic appearance in the comedy “Do Not Think”, as well as a role in one of the episodes of the popular detective series “The Return of Mukhtar”.

After several inconspicuous roles and participation in modern television projects, such as the comedy series Voronins, Dmitry Gusev got a serious role in another series. Its name is “The Other Side of the Moon,” and it was released in 2012.
The focus of the audience is an interesting detective story, which develops immediately in several time periods. And everything happened as follows: Mikhail Solovyov works in the police of our time. Outside the window in 2011, and the man valiantly fights with criminals and fights injustice. For the third year now, he has been following the trail of a dangerous and unbalanced maniac who kills young women throughout Moscow. And Solovyov finally took the trail of the criminal and, together with his partner, is trying to detain the maniac. But during the shootout and chase, the criminal escapes, seriously wounds the partner of the main character, and Solovyov himself is knocked down by car. And when a man comes to his senses in the hospital, it turns out that he was somehow incomprehensibly transferred to the body of his father, who was also a policeman. And now the main character must learn to fight crime in completely different conditions and at a different time. Outside of the year 1979, but it soon becomes clear that all these events are closely related.
The series was liked by the audience, and the detective story and the famously twisted plot kept their attention. And it became known that the project was extended and in the near future the second season will be released.
Dmitry Gusev also received a secondary role as police captain Igor Zholobov, who will become an ally of the protagonist and will repeatedly intersect with him. The main role in this television project was played by the popular actor Pavel Derevyanko, who already has many comedic and dramatic roles.

Meghlin, as a result of a childhood injury, became a sociopath and was capable of terrible things, but they decided to direct this craving for murders and thirst for blood in the right direction. Bergich helped the main character curb his impulses and use his instinct in order to catch other sociopaths of the same kind.
