For many, OGE is the first serious test, but why is it necessary? The main state exam is needed to assess the student’s knowledge over the past nine years of study, this is clear to everyone. Good results of passing this exam are a guarantor for admission to the specialized tenth grade, technical school, college or other secondary special educational institution.

State certification
It was the introduction of the exam and exam into the educational system that made it possible to abolish entrance exams to universities and technical schools. The whole system is built on a single scale for transferring USE scores, thanks to which they receive a final grade. But how to understand it?
Educational institutions establish their passing score for the OGE for admission to various areas of study. In the event that the student's score exceeds the passing level established by the institution, then the applicant will be enrolled in the ranks of students.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation establishes certain gradations for applicants; therefore, the Main State Examination is conducted in accordance with established requirements.
The passing score of the OGE makes it possible to understand whether the student managed to pass the certification or the exam is failed, whether the students have learned the theoretical minimum of the school course or will have to retrain in 9th grade. In turn, the passing threshold of the OGE, established by the secondary special educational institution, allows you to determine whether the applicant will be enrolled in the ranks of students of this institution.
A bit of history
Examinations in the form of the exam and the exam have long been familiar to schoolchildren in Russia. However, their form, rules and conditions are periodically changed and adjusted. Students in graduation classes, so as not to accidentally miss important innovations, have to constantly monitor information about updates in the system.
The exam in the form of the exam was first held for the eleventh grades in 2001. But at that time, the experiment was carried out only in five areas and only in eight disciplines. By 2008, the exam in this form began to be conducted throughout the country and in almost all subjects.

Admission to college
Similarly, they consider the passing score of the OGE for admission to a technical school. Two basic subjects are obligatory for delivery - Russian language and mathematics. This academic year, they added two more compulsory examinations in the disciplines, which applicants can choose on their own. Entering technical schools for economic specialties additionally pass social science, and the medical field - chemistry and biology.
There is also the possibility of entering technical schools for those who have not passed the exam after the eleventh grade. Enrollment in this case occurs on the basis of the results of the exam of the United State Examination and, as a rule, immediately to the second course of study.

How are points counted?
The main state exam is mandatory for everyone, but not everyone knows how to correctly calculate their results. The passing score of the OGE for admission is a certain criterion of knowledge and a guideline in the aspirations of the student.
For each year, the minimum criteria for passing the exam are approved. Based on them, a system for transferring points to familiar marks on a five-point scale is established. However, they play a role in deciding whether the student has passed the exam, but not on admission. To accept the student, the admissions committee of the technical school takes into account the passing or average passing score.
How to calculate the score of the OGE?
Each educational institution for student enrollment sets its lower thresholds for grades. As a rule, the arithmetic mean of the grades of the certificate and (or) the total result of the OGE is taken as the basis. Depending on the maximum indicator approved in the current year, the minimum passing score for admission is established.
Translation of DGE points into assessment
At school, the final indicator is translated into an assessment on an approved scale. The result obtained affects the grade in the student’s certificate. Such a translation is advisory in nature. The following data are approved for 2017:
1. The minimum GPE score, that is, the extreme indicator for passing the exam in the Russian language is 15, the maximum is 39.
The student will receive a “two” mark if he scores only 14 or less points. “satisfactory” starts at 15, “good” - from 25, and “excellent” - from 34. Moreover, to get a four, you need at least 4 points for literacy and at least 6 to earn a five.
2. OGE in mathematics. The passing score for passing this exam is 8. To get the top three in this discipline, you need to score at least 3 points in algebra and 2 points in geometry and real mathematics.
The maximum possible result for this exam is 32 points, which include 14, 11 and 7 points in algebra, geometry and real mathematics, respectively.
Starting from the minimum passing threshold and up to 14 - a rating of "three", from 15 points scored to 21 - "four", and 22-32 - "excellent".
Upon admission to specialized institutions, applicants are considered whose result is at least 18.
3. In physics, you can score a maximum of 40 points. The deserved three is at least 10. To earn a four, you must score at least 20, and for a five - from 31 points.
For admission to specialized institutions, students are recommended whose test result was at least 30.
4. The maximum result of the chemistry exam is 34. The three are guaranteed with nine points scored, the rating of “four” is at 18-26, and the “five” is at 27 and above.
23 points - a minimum for applicants to specialized institutions.
In addition, the chemistry exam includes a part with a real experiment, which is also scored. The maximum result in this part of the exam is 38, the passing threshold is 9. To mark "excellent" you need to score 29 points, and for the four from 19 to 28. The minimum acceptable is 25 points.
5. In preparation for the biology class, the student should know that the entrance mark for the college is 33 points. The three will receive a graduate who scored from 13 to 25 points for the corresponding exam, the five - from 37 to 46.
6. The minimum for geography is 12 points, but this will not be enough for admission to specialized institutions. In this case, the passing OGE score should be at least 24. Passing “excellent” means typing from 27 to 32, and “good” - from 20 to 26.
7. For the exam in social studies, the following translation applies:
- 15-24 - "satisfactory";
- 25-33 - "good";
- 24-39 - “Excellent.”
30 points - a minimum for those who have chosen training in this direction.
8. Prospective students who have chosen the history of their core discipline must earn 32 points for admission. For all the others, the historical rating is determined according to this scheme:
- 13-23 - "three";
- 24-34 - "four";
- 35-44 - "five."
9. To get a triple for an examination in literature, it is enough to score from 7 to 13 points, 14-18 for a four, and at least 19 for an excellent grade. To continue training in the profile, only applicants with at least 15 are considered.
10. The exam in computer science is assessed in the range from 5 to 22 points, where up to 11 inclusively is a three, up to 17 inclusively is a four, respectively 18-22 is a mark of "five".
11. A foreign language exam (maybe French, Spanish, English and German) - the most voluminous. The maximum possible score on it is 70. The minimum threshold is 28. In addition:
- 29-45 - three mark
- 46-58 - four mark
- 59-70 - a rating of five.
The minimum score for applicants in the direction is 56.
How to calculate the passing score of the OGE?
Everything here is also simple. It is enough to know the approved standards for the transfer of points in the assessment and their results.
Upon receipt, as a rule, two indicators are formed from the OGE points and ratings. The first is the average mark of the grades of the certificate. It is calculated as the arithmetic mean, that is, the sum of all the ratings is divided by the number of items. The second indicator is the total result of passing the state exam, that is, the sum of all the points scored. More often it leads to percentages, which are calculated from the total maximum result.
A reasonable question arises as to whether the OGE affects grades in the certificate? Yes it does. The mark obtained by the results of the exam is summed up with the received annual mark and is divided into two. When rounding, the elementary laws of mathematics are applied. Thus, if the annual mark on the subject is “four,” and the exam is passed on “five,” then the arithmetic average will be 4.5, which, in turn, should be rounded to five. In the certificate, the graduate will stand "excellent".
Unified State Exam
And how many points do you need to score on the exam?
The assessment system of the Unified State Exam is no different from the assessment system of the Unified State Examination. The minimum threshold is set by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and institutions themselves formulate selection criteria, including how many points you need to score on the exam for admission. Consequently, whether the points are enough for the top three, the state decides, and if there are enough points for admission, educational institutions.
Validity of Exam Results
All exams have a period during which their results will be valid. For students who pass the exam in 2017, this period will be limited to four years. Thus, the points received are valid until May 2021.
